how can I directly (from the vsti) rename a preset or folder in zebra 2?
(instead of going to the installed folder of zebra using windows again and again..just to rename a preset or a folder)

I'm sorry, but renaming things is not yet available in Zebra itself. That's mostly because renaming often means making a copy and deleting the original, and I have just not dared to put any code for deleting files in there (a bug could be devastating, hence I'm very cauteous).
You could however just save a renamed copy and drag the original into a new folder you call "Trash" or something. Then every preset you don't need anymore is in the trash.

Understood and I like the answer, it makes sense.
PS- Instead of opening a new thread, may I ask, where can I find some dedicated presets for zebrify?
really like your work
cheers

I have never been a big fan of presets for fx plugins, because the settings always depend on the input material, especially for complex effects. I did add a lot of presets to my other fx plugins, but I havn't yet done so for Zebrify. I might ask around.

Urs: I've left Zebrify alone for the most part, as I wasn't sure if presets would carry across to the final version, but I do have a few I could share?

But for me presets starts as a good initial point to tweak.I have never been a big fan of presets for fx plugins, because the settings always depend on the input material, especially for complex effects.
