Several months ago I stumbled upon Mu.Lab (the free version). First I was impressed by the very nice and clear user interface. After fooling around a bit with it I realized that after you get the "hang of it" it very user friendly.
Actually is almost as easy to use as FL Studio.

So, after making several projects in the free version I decided to get the "Unlimited" one.
Well, I'm intrigued in a bad way by some features (missing).
Which ones ?
Because you pay for getting the power of 32 bit audio processing... but recording goes still on 16 bit... Now, am I getting something wrong here ?
--------------------------------------------------------------

On a second thought, multiple audio input is not supported, so if I want to record drums with a M-Audio Delta 1010... :(
------------------------------------------------------------

Acidized format not supported in the audio tracks.
------------------------------------------------------------

No crosfading between tracks. :(
Like, come on, this is one of the most common feature of a DAW that works with audio files.
------------------------------------------------------------

No time signature change during the song/ composition/track/whatever you call it.
I have a classical music training and time signature is quite an usual thing in classical music.
-----------------------------------------------------------

What I like about it is the way that it's "self explanatory". Even without any recording/ sound engineering knowledge you can understand what button does what action. Very intuitive and logical (that's one of the reasons I still like it).

Awesome plugins support.
Plugins (VSTi)that goes very slow on other DAWs (FL, Pro Tools, Cakewalk) in Mu.Lab works just fine with no latency.

Sound engine sounds good.
Even on 16 bit sounds better than FL (I made a test with same VSTi, no effects on it and same MIDI file).

So, is that any chance that some of the issues will get better in the next version ? :)

In fact MU.LAB records the incoming audio in 32 bit anyway, it's a matter of in which bit depth the recorded audio is saved.

By default it's saved in 16 bits because that's the most compatible format.

But you can set a preference in Mulab.txt so that the recorded audio files are saved in 32 bits.

More info on http://www.mutools.com/mulab/docs/preferences.html

True. And i understand your criticism.

Want to reply 2 things:

1) At first, MU.LAB targets the amateur users (amateur in the good sense!).
And so that's why it only records in mono/stereo. Real multi-channel recording is a more pro feature and was not a priority for the first MU.LABs. The most important goal will ever be easiness, then extended with deeper features where/when possible.

2) As MU.LAB grows, also more pro users are using MU.LAB and you're not alone requesting multi-channel audio recording.

The good news is that there are already quite concrete plans on how to implement multi-channel audio recording in MU.LAB :) So it will come as a feature. Though it's not yet for M3 because it was not realistic to implement everything on the whishlist in 1 new version. But again: multi-channel audio recording is getting closer.

It's on the whishlist. And it's almost ready on paper. Will surely come thru in a future version.

It's a more pro feature (imho) that may come thru in MU.LAB, but no promises yet.
I admit though that you're not the first requesting this feature.

For this sir I'll buy you beer ans send it (by e-mail)!!!
I didn't knew that it's targeted to more amateur than "sound engineer wise". Still, it's very stable and intuitive. Actually it's more stable than Pro Tools (I got the demo of 7.4) when handling plugins, so when comes to VSTi and guitar recording (with virtual amps and fx) it's a pleasure to work with (no latency, at least not that I feel it).
