Had a trouble free upgrade here from the last non beta version, but live 8.1 hung on startup at scanning vsts afterwards. Was fine if I removed the Zebra dir from its path. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the awesome update, Urs!
Just fiddled around with the presets a bit, but no problems noticed so far (FL Studio 9, Core2duo 2.53GHz, Vista 32-bit). Haven't even seen that blue outline other FL users have mentioned.

Think my hang was due to the shortcut in there. Has gone past without that being present. Must confuse the ableton scanning routine. But of course zebra now can't find its files
edit: it occurs if the shortcut points to the current directory. Guess ableton gets in an infinite loop. I put everything in a subdirectory and pointed the shortcut there. With happy results

Ok, Here is my first attempt at some sounds for Zebra2.
You'll probably need turn down your head phones if you using them as some sounds are a little loud. I'm still learning the ins and outs of Zebra and I hope to get much better at sound design with Zebra2, thanks and enjoy!
Also, any opinions/suggestions would be great

Just to add my voice to the chorus:
THANK YOU, Urs! It's an awesome upgrade.
Zebra is really Number One (in spite of being called 'two point five')
Now switch your email account to automatic redirect: "Urs and family are enjoying Xmas in peace and quiet. See you next year!"
Best,
Joachim

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Nice to have the official release. Howard's new patches are beautiful, with the kind of refined elegance we've come to expect from his sound design.

In FL 9+ the Wrapper in FL is almost twice the size of Zebra interface.
Zebra is cushioned in the upper left corner of a huge Wrapper that has a white background and takes up almost the entire monitor screen.
Also, I can grab controls had drop them into different areas of the GUI.
I got the demo from the site today.
Is there a later, more stable release?

Wow....just...wow. The 2.5 upgrade is everything I hoped for and more. Installation was a piece o' cake and the new features/filters are a lot of fun. I just put Zebrify on a drum loop and went a little nuts. I can't believe this is a free upgrade! Thanks Urs!

Is there a special price for ACE owners ?
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

Urs has said that anyone who buys ACE gets an special deal in the future on the Berlin Modular, but not a Zebra discount. However, I think someone is selling Zebra in the KVR Marketplace (if that one hasn't already been sold).Tp3 wrote:Is there a special price for ACE owners ?

superb update, great Howies (Ligeti
), but best and urst of all is Zebrify. I fiddled around with some percussive loops yesterday evening and was amused, my effects section is almost completely Ursified now
thank you very much, Urs!

Zebra 2.5 is absolutely brilliant (I'm running out of superlatives for Urs's stuff). Howard's new bank is a stunner, too.
Thank you so much, guys. Happy Christmas!
Kind regards.
