I installed 2.5 today and at first it just nagged that I was using an old licence code, but now it keeps on losing it's registration. This means I'm continuously working in demo mode, quite frustrating.

Urs updated the serial number mechanism. Just send him email at urs at u-he dot com and he'll issue you a new working serial.

Yo, the nag screen you can just click away and use it as normal. It concerns almost only people who bought Zebra second hand or via PayPal and only while I was working on a laptop or something, mostly in 2006/2007 I guess. I'm eager to make the transition as painless as possible, no rush. Everyone who's getting the nag screen will be reissued a fresh code (users of the AiR keygen not) once they send an email.

If it really went to demo mode then I'm slightly concerned and would love to help out via email.

Cheers,

;) Urs

Thanks for the great update Urs!!

I have two questions though:
I remember that there was a beta version (it still was 2.3.x then) where you implemented an oversampling option. Has this been removed or am I just blind?

Is it intended that the undo history is deleted, when the Zebra GUI is closed?

The new SR Decimate filter mode is brilliantly destructive. When using the SR D filter output at low bit rates to modulate the XMF filter frequency via side chain input:

something interesting happens to the output of the XMF filter, like the output from the SR D filter somehow "tuned"? Do you mind providing us with some details? Would be interesting to know what exactly is happening!

Thanks in advance :)

Peace,
Andy.

I've been loving playing with that! (however it works)

Weird thing is that for user name it would not accept an "R" but instead kept popping open Sonar's step record menu. I got around it by copying and pasting my full name and reg number and it worked but thought the bug was strange. I think this also happened when I was trying to save a new patch name and Zebra would not accept an "R." Other letters seem to work.

Odd.
I have to do that in orion too (copy/paste) its not that big of a deal though is it? I mean how many times are you registering your plugins.. :hihi:

Yes, this is aliasing! :)

The high pitched sawtooth is sampled at much longer intervals than a single cycle, and thus with some luck you get a much slower (and steppy) version of the sawtooth that's still recognizable as a sawtooth, or a repetitive pattern. Which is maybe a desirable form of aliasing.

Is that what you mean?

It sounded pretty cool when I set up ZenPunkHippy's patch configuration. Very musical indeed! :tu:

A quick question; what does the SR in SR Decimate stand for?

Sample Rate?

bmrzycki wrote:what does the SR in SR Decimate stand for?
Samplerate reduction ;-)

Thanks Urs.

I also noticed that Resonance and Drive seem to do nothing in SR Decimate mode. Why did you keep the knobs then? Was it just a matter of being pressed for time or did I miss something?

Uhm... hmm... I think it was quite an effort to take knobs out. And that 6 times... I would have been braindeader than I already was

As long as it's documented in the forthcoming manual what knobs are unused in a particular mode then that's more than fine with me. But first, enjoy some down time, seriously! :D
