Wow, this is a tough one. Being pulled in two opposite directions here: how musically useful is it versus how broken does it sound? I mean, if it's too shagged or unpredictable, then it's pretty hard to find a use for it, isn't it? Anyway, on the basis of brokeness, my gut preferences are:
1. broken strings (fantastic degree of control over level of f'd-upness).
2. Guernica Guitar+ (mangled but great for atmospherics).
3. O come all ye (like a malevolent music-box).
So, having conformed to the spirit of the contest, I'd like to honourable-mention two patches I really love:
1. Vox Aeterna - Ligeti in a single patch if you slow down the pitch modulation a bit more.
2. Rat Box Short Out - fabulous disto lead sound.
Well done to all you guys. The standard of patches being submitted for these contests is way high and just getting better with every one.
Kind regards.

Votes should be coming in today or tomorrow, apparently this is a tough one ( which is a good thing, I guess
) - not that anyone has asked, but I suppose if anyone wants to vote in private feel free to PM me (I'll post the vote anonymously in this thread).

This was a tough decision for me.
Finally after a long session of test-driving every sound I decided in this way:
1. Antique Roadshow
2. Ratbox Short out
3. Outside Jazz
"Antique Roadshow" is a smooth and relaxed sound with arpeggio (enabling it as the author suggests sounds great) and a clearly defined kind of damage in an adjustable amount. It plays well and is very usable.
"Ratbox Short out" is a nice and very playable distorted solo/lead sound which isn't too broken except for being distorted.
"Outside Jazz" is good for spacey drones, soundscapes and ambiences. I couldn't really make out what the defect this sound consists of, but I like its sonic texture.
Honorable mentions for "Broken1" and "Broken2", these sound like circuit-bent toys, I could just not find a musical place for them in my imagination. They're harder to "play" in a musical context (at least for me).
Thanks to xh3rv for running this contest and to the contestants for submitting lots of interesting sounds.
