That's my first attempt with GUI design did for fun and learning purpose.
I'm not totally new to photoshop but sure i did some mistakes.

Here's the synth page preview:

Before going with the other two pages, tweak and browse, i think that's better to have some feedback to improve it!

PS:
Don't know about the U-He logo, if the original is needed i hope that Urs will provide me an .ai or .psd !

I've did another skin after doing some test with the script and animation files for the knobs and texts/oscilloscope colors.

This one, despite the f*ck*in* an*l*g ( :o ) sound of ACE ( :hihi: ), reminds me something more digital related, don't know if this can hurt someone!

Nice one!

Some day I will upload artwork such as logos, but not before some time next year. Until then I won't mind any, uhm, abstract logo, as long as there's *any* hint at u-he on it 8)

Criticize it otherwise i will assume that it's so supercool that leave you all without words! :-o :hihi:

...and i will do the other two pages to give as a xmas gift! (hopefully!)

There's not much to criticize really... looks very nice indeed. :)

I really dislike the font (a bit girlie IMO)

happy? :)

the skin really is Ace :hihi: (but i honestly dislike the font use for U-he & the other bits)

fonts will always be subjective :)

great work!!

speaking personally, i learnt ACE with the original skin (witch is also really good) so i think it will be a while intill i think of changing the default skin (the hole modula thing is still quite overwhelming in its native form, when i can look at ACE & see what i see in Zebra or energyXT1 mod view then i'll start playing with new skins :) )

but this really dose look great!!!

Beautiful skin. I  it!

I really like this skin - especially the texturing and clarity.

Hmm, an even more sturdy look as if this synth's housing is made of granite. Well, it is kind of a heavy weight synth allready (both soundwise and CPU-wise ). ;)
I definately like the skin!
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

I can't see the skin.
I guess that site is blocked here or something.
bummer. :(

If helping in a someway i can say that's imageshack[dot]us

:(

Will try to do another link later!

Thanks for the different link.
Yea the imageshack is blocked here.

I think a different font should be used for the logo also.
The noise background is good, but you should try to change the color of the knobs, and make the module part brighter.

I don't own ACE yet, but I'll probably get it soon.

Yes, i've tought about the knobs, i can design them but i haven't the knowledge to manage/create the rotation, then i think that they have also a script/code side to be modified. Something that need more time than the PS layout sketch, sure i will do, but after i've learned how to create the rotation/value-color change.
(perhaps is also something easy and stupid to do  )

About the dark modules you're also right, a bit brighter will be better, but in the same time i'm thinking about all the different monitor settings we have: i did, some weeks ago, a photography course where the "trainer" explained, in scientific terms, that also the same brand and model monitor will render the colours in different way.
Still remain that i can do the panels a bit brighter to be sure that someone will not see them as total black.
