KV331 Audio Releases SynthMaster 2.0.3.3

Hi everyone,

We are glad to announce a new release for SynthMaster 2.0.

Here are the updates/fixes for this 2.0.3.3 release:

1. NEW: Factory/user waveforms can now be used in Basic/Additive oscillators and modulators

2. FIX: Even if both oscillators are turned off, SynthMaster generates noisy output

3. FIX: Arpeggiator is not synced to tempo correctly when engine quality >= 2

4. FIX: ADSR/Multistage envelopes missing Sync button on the default skin

5. FIX: When a note is instantly turned on and off (as in glissando playing), SynthMaster crashes

6. FIX: ADSR Envelopes with sustain level set to zero enter into release stage suddenly

7. FIX: KeyScaler parameters are not persisted correctly

Well, let's see, this week:

Copy/paste partial preset parameters
Amount parameter for envelopes
EDIT: SynthMaster FX (I need to release that ASAP)

Then starting next Monday, I'll start working on MAC OSX
So this means new feature development will stop for like 1-2 months
But if I have time, I'll work on the following updates:

Fix reverb
Enhancements to Layer FX, Global FX
Enhancements ro Filters (I have interesting plans for the filters)

The filter in SM2 is already modelled after the Moog ladder, but I have to tune the model, its sound is not exactly like a Moog.

just read this thread and I see you plan to address what in my personal opinion is the weakest point of the engine right now.
the filters.....looking forward to the enhancements and hoping more filters will be modeled as well.

Yes, the filter models definitely need to be improved. Although I modelled the ladder filter, it doesnt sound like a Moog because of the nonlinearities, and also maybe due to the resonance scaling. I have to model those better.

I have a flexible model in my mind though: If the nonlinearity is user adjustable (the waveshaper functions I mean) we should be able to go beyond the Moog!

We'll see in the coming weeks/months how that works out

BTW: Oops, we have plans for the OSX release, which should come first? Better filters or SynthMaster AU

for me even though i would love the synthmaster vst mac (that is part of the plan right?), I personally prefer to fix what is there first. But that may just be me

I think that the filters are average. Far from bad, but not the best ones. I'm looking forward for the improvement if you can do it.
Please, don't forget the 1 knobbed bandstop/bandpass filters.

I terribly feel like I have to do something for the filters and also for the reverb before starting the port work for OSX.

Today I started with resonance scaling for the ladder filters. Even fixing that will change the sound of the filters
