Thank for the insights, info and stuff -Oh yes and the Verb
Happy new year!

sounding software reverb on the market.
With the upcoming update to v1.5 it will be even better and still nowhere
near as expensive as the Lexicon.
Don't buy for the name.
Buy for the sound.
Both. There are plenty of presets. You have to understand that this is truly an algorithmic reverb that offers so many options. At first glance, it doesn't aim to emulate "historical" reverbs (although a few of the presets head in this general direction), but you can get them, if you want to.spinedoc wrote:Are there any plate presets or good vocal presets for rock/pop or is this more of a rooom simulator?
I ditto the much deserved congratulations.elxicano wrote:Congratulations!
Definitely a deserved honor!
2009 was a great year and although I have a pretty solid top 3 list, without a doubt Aether is still my favorite purchase of the year.
Now I'm just looking forward to the 1.5 update (and thanks for making the update free)!!

Now on to being a pest...
Can we expect 1.5 this month sometime?
Seems like the reverb was too costly to be grassroots. Audio-Damage has a grass roots vibe, so do a lot of companies, Uh-he, Sugar-Bytes, etc, but you would have to buy at least two or three products from these other companies to match the cost of Aether. It's flattering to think our (close to zero dollar budget) grass-roots marketing campaign worked this well,
I didn't say that. I probably was not clear. I was trying to say, "Lexicon verbs have been on a lot of legendary records. Every bedroom producer knows this, ergo, their plug ins are $1,000. That actually makes a lot of sense."but I fail to see how the 2CAudio company brand, or the Aether product brand, is as much of a Name as something like "Lexicon"
I don't know if its valid or not, but your reverb and this reverb are very similar sounding to me.Check back in 5-10 years though, and then I hope that this criticism may be more valid.
