I certainly understand and I'm not ungrateful. It just seems as though one could be connected to everything through a portal or something. It would be much easier for customers to manage with all of the distinctions and separate purposes hidden from the end user (behind the curtain). I did connect my esoundz and downloadablessoundz which was painless and easy (although still two sites to navigate).Squids wrote:Yeah it's 1:44. My favorite number is 4 so I actually have a moment of silence when I see that on the clock... a very short moment but I'm weird.
Anyway, yeah, the thing is those three sites have different purposes. Sonic Reality is the site as a manufacturer which services ALL dealers of Sonic Reality, not just esoundz.
eSoundz is kind of like a "sound outlet" mainly for the purposes of selling Sonic Reality but other stuff that we have easy access to or drop ships, is downloadable etc. There is no single Sonic Reality dealer that carries all of our stuff so we had to make one. That's esoundz.
DownloadableSoundz.com is meant for dealers to be able to sell a vast range of virtual inventory through Download Cards (like iTunes cards). It's a huge benefit to them and a chance for them to have an even larger range than esoundz has (because it has thousands of individual loops, instruments and other things that can be purchased by buying bulk credits). It's also meant to be for more than just Sonic Reality sounds. But that one is only a year old and the other two have been around in various versions for around 7-10 years. So... it's still a baby but a great concept and it will solidify more this coming year.
So as long as we're trying to do those three different activities there is no way to consolidate them all. But there is a way to connect your esoundz account to a downloadable (if someone joins DownloadableSoundz first though it doesn't go the other way because they could come from another deal and we handle that with respect to the dealer).
Anyway, it's not that big a deal to be a member of all of those. Each has a different purpose. SR.com tells you about the products with behind the scenes photos, videos and more. eSoundz is a STORE and downloadablesoundz is for buying credits and using your epointz to get a la carte stuff, multi-choice products (that's why we used it for this GB)... so it all has its purpose. Just seems like a lot but... there are a lot of components in this group buy! You also have to get EZ Player Pro from Toontrack when you get the serial if you choose it at that phase. So that + Naive Instruments makes 5. But... ALL good stuff. The worste that can happen is you're on their newsletters which you can cancel.
But I'll leave all of that strategizin' to you. I'm off to bed whilst Kontakt 3.5 is happily (and lazily) downloading. Hopefully I'll awake tomorrow to find one more flaming hoop has been cleared!
Michael
P.S. I'll get some extra sleep for you guys, too. It's the least that I can do.
