In light of this, I thought I would remind people that the S2 expansions are all on sale for $79.00 as well. I just upgraded and ordered the New York Studios Vol 2 for $118.00! (of course it's backordered, but I'm not too concerned about that.)

It's the full non-upgrade version of E-Mu's Emulator X3 for $199. Still going for $499 most places. This is the version that has multi-core CPU support and doesn't require any E-Mu hardware as a dongle. It got great reviews when it came out, as being an extremely powerful and mature sampler with great sounds. It supposedly imports a variety of other file and patch formats, but the ChickenSys translator that it comes with doesn't get good reviews. Especially here at KVR.

Unless they drop it further, that $199 for Emulutor X3 seems pretty nice. I didn't know that they dropped the hardware dongle implementation. Yep, Chicken Systems is THE WORST.

Just got an email from BSW that they're doing a warehouse clearance.

The only software that I spotted that might be of interest here is Reaktor 5 and Komplete Sound 2, each for $99.

I don't know enough about Nuendo to know whether that's a good good deal, whether it's worthwhile to get it and then do an upgrade to Nuendo 4, or whatever.

Some people might like to look through the other clearance items to see if anything interests them. My one experience with BSW was very positive.
