Multis, Singles and VST patches backup

Hi everyone,
I have two Receptors Rev. C with identical configuration, same plugins and patches (I cloned the HD). I would like to use one with my band and have the other one at home and be able to work on it with the same patches.
My question is: if I create a new multi on my first Receptor (with new singles in it...) and back it up on my computer and then install it into my second Receptor, will it work?
Then: if I modify this multi on my second Receptor, back it up again to my computer and install it to my first Receptor, will it overwrite the existing multi, or will it create a new bank? (meaning that if I do that every week, I will find myself with hundreds of useless multis and singles, because outdated...)
I hope my description is clear enough to understand. If not, please ask!
Happy New Year to everyone!

Demierra,
Your question is clear and makes sense - I just wish I had the answer for ya! I guess you could just try one and see what happens if nobody else chimes in here. Good luck.

You are correct in assuming that the method outlined above will result in a new generic bank each time you isntall it. You could of course delete each old bank as you install the new one, but there is also a manual way of configuring this on Receptor.
All Receptor's .fxp files are stored inside the Banks and Patches folder. Multis in particular are stored inside a volder labeled 'multis' (inside banks and patches and are organized by banks (which appear as folders). You could open up your bank on Receptor's hard drive, and just replace the patch you are updating. Just make sure to take note of the 3 digit number in-front, as the replacement file will have to have this same 3 digit number followed by a dash (ex: 021-patchname).
Once you've replaced the file go to the link below and do the 'plugin cache reset' listed there. Then you should be good to go.

Thanks Kevin! I'll try that! Of course, this is quite logical, because the single or multi will already be "receptor formatted" since it comes from another Receptor, so replacing it directly in the banks and patches folder should be possible... I just thought that this folder was write-protected.
Thanks for your help! I won't have time to try this at the moment, but I will leave a feedback when I try it.

demierra,
If you run across a permissions issue just contact the support team on the tickets. We can supply a little file called the 'banks and patches' fixer which (despite popular opinion) does not open up the entire Receptor hard drive, but opens up just the banks and patches folder for editing.

Wow, that works great! Thanks Kevin! I had to install the "banks and patches" fixer and now I can modify or delete the banks and patches folder.
This is very convenient! Now I can work on one Receptor and transfer the multis to the other one! I just need not to forget to take my Ilok with...
