VST GUI problem in OSX 10.4

Just installed the free version 2.7 to have smth to toy with on my old iBook. Excellent DAW, so much reminding my beloved CMuzys of old days!
Unfortunately, there's a little bug which prevents me from buying the full version: VST GUIs of certain plugins just don't show up. I can confirm EVE, SR202, Ohmygod! so far. If I got it right, this only happens with pre-VST2.3 plugins. Can something be done about it? Sorry if the question has been raised before, searched this forum, didn't find anything.

Indeed, it's because these are older plugins which have drifted out-of-compatibility, so to say.
But doesn't the default editor show up for these plugins, i.e. a default editor with all parameters for these plugs?

Yep, it does. Problem is, with, say, EVE or SR202 you just can't see native sample load menus/buttons. After a second thought though, let's hope Wusik updates EVE to 2.3 or 2.4 specificationsmutools wrote:Indeed, it's because these are older plugins which have drifted out-of-compatibility, so to say.

Anyway, thanks for the quick reply!
BTW, any chance of AU in OSX version?

That's a bit odd, considering the many 2.3 plugins out there.mutools wrote:Indeed, it's because these are older plugins which have drifted out-of-compatibility, so to say.

William: I just checked the said problem with Reaper. No GUI for EVE VST at all, not even host's generic. The AU version shows up nicely though. Some abandonware, like Nomad's XD78 phaser is not seen by Reaper at all btw (MuLab loads it with host's generic GUI). Looks like some universal problem, as happened in EnergyXT demo as well.WilliamK wrote:That's a bit odd, considering the many 2.3 plugins out there.mutools wrote:Indeed, it's because these are older plugins which have drifted out-of-compatibility, so to say.
