How to make that sound...

this is definitly a moog sound... you can easily get it done with minimoog or minimonsta but for a simple way... there's a preset within Trilogy that's very similar, it's called Code 106 and you can find it in Synth Bass/Pathes/Mean and Nasty, tweak the resonance a bit and play with the ADSR and you'll get there :)

Dont have those synths... But I'm willing to bet it can be recreated just about identically in another synth. Have an idea how it would be made?
To be sure, I tweaked the adsr and resonance.

Good advice throughout.
I cant get this sound either, I have been fiddling for a while, i cant get my head around this tracking control thing...sound useful though.
I am pretty sure Mok19 correct this is true FM either, it sounds alot like my old FB01 without the analog artifactical noice. So my guess a FB01 uppitched fot the sample so the highpitch analog noices (*dissapear*), is out of audible range. And it do miracle for the vibe of the dull tune, many analog synths will give fantastic result when uppitched so noice go out of range, they will be more alive and vibrant since their dynamic range lacks never was the bass.

Record all notes with a sequenser software in Cooledit and then pitch them so the noise go out of audible range, and your old noisy analog synths have a new life with far more vibrant tunes then original the bass just get a little more punch.
