CPU inside the V-Machine is not the standard consumer-grade AMD or Intel CPU, so I don't think you can replace it on your own. Motherboard is also custom.

(dont ask me to translate, because these are very bad words).
V-Machine original price + upgraded ram to 1gb + external 250gb superfast disk (that should have worked for truepianos, in order to play it without chokes...FALSE!)
and you can easily understand how I reach this sum.

V-machine, now includes TRUE PIANOS AMBER LIGHT, all users can get it with original V-Machines as well, no upgrade is needed to run it properly!!!!delafuerte wrote:Yes!walerandei wrote:OSTIA PUTA! No?
Don't you think that we need a CPU upgrade soon???

I know it, since december 2009...not when I bought the V-machine!VFXAU wrote: V-machine, now includes TRUE PIANOS AMBER LIGHT, all users can get it with original V-Machines as well, no upgrade is needed to run it properly!!!!
Now Truepianos amber works perfectly.....but try to put a B4 or a VB3 in the same bank and tell me what happens.
BTW, your reply makes me think the so waited CPU upgrade will remain a dream!
Hoping Im wrong!

A DREAM?? well if any of you happened to be at the NAMM SHOW, we showed it there, in a normal V-Machine, as an upgrade working perfectly. So it is no dream

Nice start.
After install the VFX in my Win Xp notebook, it seems that the VFX doesnt recognize any V-machine plugged in the computer. Probably is a Windows problem.
So ... after that went to my MAC and try to install vfx there. This time, the VFX recognize the V-machine and do some firmware update job. GREAT! So ... let's install some pluggin (simple dll) in my new toy!. All works nice, until I try to SINC VFX with the V-machine. Simply the VFX crash when I try to sync.
Today, I'll try the machine in the office (at least to install some pluggins).
As I promess, I'll be back to left here some ideas about V-machine!
1 - What kind of CPU use the upgrade kit? (1.8 / 2 / 2.2 / 2.6ghz?)
2 - Price? Date to be available for purchase?
Thanx!

Nice ... Can you provide some extra information (May be it helps to calm us!)VFXAU wrote: A DREAM?? well if any of you happened to be at the NAMM SHOW, we showed it there, in a normal V-Machine, as an upgrade working perfectly. So it is no dream

Finally formated my Windows based notebook ... and now VFX works really nice! Installed 15 pluggins without any crash or issue.
First impressions:
1 - V-machine sounds nice! The outputs sounds clear and without sssshhhh or low noises. My digital mixer is thankfull about this.
2 - At this time, I've made only a bank with one preset per pluggin (and one vsti in the first slot). At this point it works nice. Notice some noisy clicks only when use a lot of polifony in some fat pluggins.
3 - MIDI (5 pins), responds without latency.
4 - A little noisy the V-machine's cooler. This is an issue if you want to record something with a condenser microphone.
Tomorrow I'll try to mix some VSTi (light ones) in different slots with different midi channels!
EDIT:
I've made some mixes beetwen some lights vstis, and these are the results!
1 - SLOT1= Imposcar / SLOT2=Oddity / SLOT3=Iblit (all sounding together).
V-machine works fine. Only when use a delay in an Imposcar preset, there were some noisy clicks using more than 4 voices of polifoni.
2 - Slot=1 SUperwave p8 / Slot2= Minimogue VA (both sounding together).
No issues reported.
3 - If I try to use some sampled based pluggin or a piano ... its imposible to use more than one pluggin.
Best regards.

Welcome to page 136.....
I've tried to search and read my way through this threath, but I can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for.....
Can the following apps run on the V-machine?
Arturia CS80V
Spectrasonics Atmosphere
Gsoft Imposcar
U-he Zebra 2
U-he Uhbik
...And how's the latency when plaing live?

All of those (apart from uhbik and maybe imposcar) are rather CPU intensive and I'm not sure if they'll run flawlessly on the V-M...
