TchackEdrum is a kit of acoustic drum samples adapted primarily to play on an E-drum. In addition to various samples of velocity there is a round robin or random trigger. The uniqueness lies in the management of the hi hat CC4 to reproduce the different openings. The bank sample is large in byte and intensive polyphony but I could certainly improve.
You can test it with Kontakt player who is free on the website of Native Instruments. You would see more detail if you owned NI Battery 3.

Hoping that my English is understandable, thank you for your attention.

I have implemented round robin or random trigger. The only thing left is this CC4 you mentioned before. Is this controller triggering a foot-hihat sample? or it choose between samples?Vincent Sermonne wrote:TchackEdrum is a kit of acoustic drum samples adapted primarily to play on an E-drum. The CC4 is the controller for opening, closing and a knob that triggers different samples depending on their values. For example, the triggering condition of a sample half-open hihat, whatever its velocity value on the note F # 2, is that CC4 is a value from 1 to 60.

Hi Mister Tchakpoum ! Thanks for your excellent work (I use it in Battery 3)...
Caoxiang, will MS2 import and recognize looped samples made with other software ?

Merci Burnie !
Activation of a sample and / or group of samples could it have several possible condition as Key switch, Controller, round robin and random round to play the various articulation ?
Does the polyphony can be assayed by sample group, a tab for the "maximum voices" and the "voice Overlap"? And setting of velocity curve ?
Many questions I'm sorry. But I hope to realised the TchackEdrum, a free edrum player...

Absolutely and I have already tested it. I know there is a bug in maize sampler 1 to read sampler chunk. But no longer happens in MS2.Burnie wrote:Hi Mister Tchakpoum ! Thanks for your excellent work (I use it in Battery 3)...

1. Velocity curve: Yes, it's already there. There are three different curves: Normal, Weak and Strong.Vincent Sermonne wrote:Merci Burnie !

2. Sample Selection: the sample selection in MS2 are done in two different levels. First, the group level. Each group of samples has a group selection option (Key switch, MIDI channel switch, controller switch and program switch). Multiple groups can be selected by these options. So different articulation of instrument can be easily arranged with groups. Second, the sample selection inside a group is decided by a option called overlapped samples trigger rule. And the options are stack trigger, round robin, random robin and total random. By overlapping different samples with random options, it could make instrument sounds more humanistic.
BTW, we should move this discussion to "Maize Sampler 2 is on the way" thread.

Please add "disabled"...There are three different curves: Normal, Weak and Strong
I read the other thread, and it seems to be excellent...
I think, like you, that built-in effects are not useful... Work on the most important features and forget that... If you listen everybody, you will make Kontakt...

There is a option in sample property called "static velocity" which can do the same.Burnie wrote:Please add "disabled"...There are three different curves: Normal, Weak and Strong

That's true. I don't want to make Kontakt.
The beta1 is scheduled to be around Feb 14th, I will let everyone know. Thanks.

Only 4 days left...caoxiang wrote:The beta1 is scheduled to be around Feb 14th, I will let everyone know. Thanks.
How did you solve the layer-stuff? I just wanna offer maize sampler with 128 instruments (128 x 36 multisamples) without any layers.
The user should be able to skip easily through the instruments.
Is this possible in MS2 now?

In MS2, layer is called group. And it's unlimited. Samples in one group can also be overlapped. MS2 is a single instrument sampler, to play multiple instrument, you need to load multiple instance. But the groups can be a kind of sub instrument now. Each group can has its own midi channel.Wildfunk wrote:Only 4 days left...caoxiang wrote:The beta1 is scheduled to be around Feb 14th, I will let everyone know. Thanks.
