Atmosphere Install/Uninstall?

Hello everyone. I've spent a frustrating evening trying to install Atmosphere onto my Receptor Rev C, OS 1.7. I followed the instructions in the Plugorama PDF file exactly, and was blessed with an error message stating "UVI error, cannot find .DAT file." Fair enough; I do some more web searching, and it appears that there may need to be a shortcut to the .DAT file in the Atmosphere directory. I put a proper shortcut in there and try again, with the same error.

*sigh*

Ok, I'll try uninstalling the whole thing and reinstalling it. Now, to uninstall, it appears that I should delete all the files in the Atmosphere directory. I do that, but there is one hidden file left. I know this because I tried to delete the Atmosphere directory itself as well, but was told I couldn't, because the directory wasn't empty. This file, whatever it is, is complete hidden from Windows (there appears to be nothing in the directory when I mount the receptor's drive on my XP PC).

So, I recopy all the files from my PC over to the Receptor again, not really expecting a different result, but hopeful. Alas, same UVI error.

I'm guessing (I'm not a Linux person) that there is still a shortcut of some sort hidden away in the Atmosphere directory. Is there any way to see it, and remove it, from my PC, so I can retry a clean install?

Any thoughts? I can't even get to the authorization screen.

Thanks,

Paul

Thank you very much, but I already tried that. I think somehow there is a Linux file in there that Windows (via Samba) can't see.

Cheers~

Anyone else ever have a similar problem with Atmosphere and/or files hidden from the mounted Receptor drive in Windows file explorer?
