There's currently only one bank for Zebrify that I know of: Zebri-lo-fy: http://u-he.com/PatchLib/zebra.html#zebrify

The Zebra download doesn't come with any Zebrify presets as of yet, but you can pretty much think of it as Zebra without any oscillators, using either audio or any VST instrument as your sound source to then modify. It's an incredible tool and I have been using it a lot to modify my guitar. It's practically a wall of foot pedals or rack devices. Even though Zebra is already great, I think that Zebrify is one of the coolest things to come along in a long time. There was a thread the other day abouty filter effects and someone was asking which ones other KVR users were using or liked. One of the first people mentioned Zebrify and it getting a good workout lately, and I think that it is definitely one of the best filter things out there as you now all of zebra's great multi filters, but also the ability to line up many in a row, and then modify them with any of Zebra's modifiers. And then you have all of Zebra's effects to add more to it.

One of the coolest things about Zebrify is that you can use the oscillators from Zebra. My favorite patch right now is done with just and FMO and an XMF. I run guitar into Zebrify, the signal goes into the audio input of the XMF and the FM input on the FMO. The audio out of the FMO goes to the sidechain input on the XMF. I use the pitch tracker to control the FMO pitch and use the envelope follower to control the FM depth of both the XMF and FMO. I play the guitar with an ebow and adjust the filter cutoff with a midi expression pedal to get the wildest wah-wah-psuedo-cello I've ever heard. I'll post the patch when I get home.
I've been meaning to crank out a Zebrify patch bank but my life is full of chaos at the moment. Also, I'm pretty sure it's still in an early stage of development, though I could be wrong.
Zebrify really is a monster of a multi-effect. Try running Zebrify after ACE for ultimate modular madness.

Cool justin3am, you're absolutely right, and will try your suggestion as it sounds like a great one. I've got an ebow too and I am sure that you could do all sorts of things like using a pedal to alter filter charachterisitics too, which could make it a lot more than just a super wah-wah. That's the great thing about these forums, isn't it?

Oh yes, please! Maybe some audio?justin3am wrote:I play the guitar with an ebow and adjust the filter cutoff with a midi expression pedal to get the wildest wah-wah-psuedo-cello I've ever heard. I'll post the patch when I get home.

I'll see what I can do. All of my gear is between homes right now and I haven't had the energy to get stuff set up again. Then again, I don't need much to do a quick audio demo. Perhaps this is the motivation I need to get a rig working at home again.

a quick audio demo would be cool!justin3am wrote:I'll see what I can do. All of my gear is between homes right now and I haven't had the energy to get stuff set up again. Hmm... well, this isn't exactly how I remember the patch sounding but it's still kinda cool. It's just clean geetar running through Zebrify, I'm playing with an ebow and controlling the filter cutoff with an expression pedal.

Why can't I use the patches for zebra2 in zebrify? I am not too clear why I can't just take the fx parts of the patches and use zebra2 patches natively in zebrify?

I'd certainly like that. Sure, the patch will need tweaking but it could be a neat short cut to use as a starting point. For example, I wanted to trigger one of my ZPC bass presets from my bass guitar, so I had to laboriously recreate that patch in Zebrify (along the way remembering that Zebrify only has two Oscs, cramping my style a bit).sunhome wrote:Why can't I use the patches for zebra2 in zebrify? Look you guys, they're two different programs, one a synth, one an effect, so why would you think that you could load type of patch into another. What, you can't consider it great that Zebrify is yet another fantastic tool to use as an effect in your sonic arsenal? Plus you have the advantage of supposedly knowing how Zebra works, so it shouldn't be a great stretch to know how to do similar things with Zebrify as an effect. That Zebrify came along with Zebra 2.5 and all its newly added features was just icing on an already great tasting caek in my opinion.
Thanks again Urs!
