...and I'm not interested in Ivory. If it could run Pianoteq 3 Pro flawlessly with at least 128 notes of poly, that's something.

I still think most people would be better off building their own embedded systems. They wouldn't cost as much, certainly.

It is amazing that we had this type of conversations over a year ago.

so.. really we are not going to get into this, but the main difference is that we use embedded industrial CPU's and specifically made M/B's not standard of the shelf (as they have no support after 3-4 months normally) as well as heat issues, power supply etc etc.. anyway, the V-Machine is what it is and works incredibly well for what it is. We are not in the business of being negative about other user comments, I respect what you are saying as this is your view, but your assumptions are not in the ball park, I would love to make them for $30 as we would sell millions...

As a newbie I've got a question! ...
Even when all pluggins works in stereo (output using left / right), Gforce Oddity only works in mono in my V-machine (output audio only in the right channel). Is it normal? Or my oddity has bad instalation?

In case this behavior its normal: Any idea in how can I convert his audio in stereo? (perhaps, using some kind of fx?)

Thanx a lot in advance.

p.d.= Relax boys. V-machines stays as it is. Nothing that we can say here gonna change that (and probably everything was told). The only thing to do is just wait for the f...ing upgrade kit. nothing else. :?

p.d.2 = To SM PRO AUDIO ... after all we said here, think in a cheap price to the upgrade kit, mostly because the time you took to make VFX just works (still with bugs after some years), because we're beta-testing with machines payed as new (and it means with a full working software by the first time you sell your product in the market), and finally because we have to buy this upgrade just to be able to do with the v-machines the things you promisse out of the box and we can't.

p.d.3 = Again, sorry about my poor english!

so we are comparing v-machine to stuff thats not even out yet?

what greater compliment to a piece of gear is there?

Seems about the same amount of time that the V-Rack, V-Rack XL, and V-Pedal have said 'Not available yet'. What's the holdup on these?

The greatest risk is that CPU upgrade just follow the road of the V-rack.

Let's pray the Lord!!!

Without going into too much OT detail, I work in an industry that uses dozens of very small machines, primarily as a processing platform, by the dozens and hundreds. I understand that the present price point is largely due to the use of non-commodity hardware. It will be interesting to see what the V-Rack's price point is because it would very well use a commodity motherboard.

Uhmmm ... Probably the upgrade kit will be a 2.2/2.6 ghz CPU ... not more (In order to avoid competition between V-desktop and V-rack (the last one with dual core cpu). :)

I would mean the time of release, not the power :)

.......

V-desktop?

Have you joined the 1.5 beta team to run the latest software?

All support is done directly from the support pages on www.smproaudio.com

We have done Major reworking on the firmware and software and you are welcome to join and use it.

He was obviously talking about CPU upgrade!

Realease? Price? Spec details??

Why are you so reticent to give us (your users) this important information?!

Is it necessary to open a ticket to get this info?!

Yeah. As i've mentioned before I have the beta but I can't even get it to launch on either WinXP or Vista32. The response to my report of this through the helpserve site was that beta software is not supported, and I haven't had any response at all from the email-adres for the beta, so at the moment i'm basically viewing the beta (and the CPU upgrade for that matter) as vaporware.
Another annoying thing about the beta is that the only way I could find to go back to the current release version was to reinstall after uninstalling the beta, which automatically deleted my complete appdata/vfx folder, where I was also storing a bunch of working plugs & wizard-files which I wasn't currently using in a seperate folder.
