Pretty stoked as you can imagine. He came the day the OSC prize came in the mail, so might nickname him after it, just not sure it will be Minimonsta or Melloman yet as he's sleeping most of the time for now..![]()

Thanks a lot guys!
Yeah a big event really. I heard others raving about becoming a father before and thought it was overrated, but didn't realize the extremely special feeling holding a helpless little creature in my hands that is part of me. A cliché but the closest description is unconditional love
This unfortunately means like I've seen before that the music will lose the edge and go all mellow and childish, Mike Oldfield is a notorious example.. So bear with me if I ask for Ugo's String Theory as next OSC instrument..
(kidding aside, a bloody good sound from that really)

Hey Tattiemannie,
As I still have some time so I'd like to export my mixer tracks and work on some kind of mastering with EQ and basic compression.
Would it be "legal"?
If yes, I'll ask you to replace the old MP3 with the new one when it's done (if the mix sounds better, which is not sure

Hi totolitoto ... let me get this clear.
You want to export your mixer tracks from your present host to a different host? ... or you want to render what you have to individual audio tracks?
I see no problem with either.... and as long as the plugs you are using to master and EQ are freeware, I see no problem with that either.
Just upload your finished track when it is ready, and gimme a shout when it is done, and I'll delete the old version and rename the new one if necessary
Cheers for the track Yeager
... and good luck with it!
Still more than a week to go!

Thx Yeager
Still working on the track, but just a bit here and there when time, but now it's gone so long since I started the first idea that new parts unconnected to it have grown into a song of its own and I don't know where to cut, anybody familiar with this situation?
There's so much said for working fast and as much as possible from an idea when you're really into it, - seems the short deadline last time was a blessing more than a hindrance looking back..

OK abstractcats ... done! ... cheers for the submission!
V'ger ... yeah, very familiar with that situation
.. and on a positive note, I remember the difficulty working with music when my first child was born .... the need to attend to her as a matter of priority whatever else I was doing .... and the frustration of having to rewind the tape and find where I was at before I had to change/feed etc.
So I abandoned the 4 track, started learning midi, got a computer .... and things became progressively easier to manage
... wish I'd done it all sooner. So if you find the new addition to your responsibilities forces you to reconsider how you work, dont worry, it's not neccesarily a bad thing in the long term

Ouch, yeah those were the days. Today it's like unbelievable that one actually used those things to make music, but I remember thinking my Fostex was the bees knees and the tracks were phat at the time even though the bounces were muddy and noisy like hell..tattiemannie wrote:rewind the tape ... 4 track
