Well I haven't really done a deep house inspired track until now and before I knew it, it ended up with a smooth jazz/fusion style melody line as all my tracks tend to do these days

Anyway have a listen. Any stuff that should be changed and/or corrected?
It's called "Submerged" and sits at the top of http://soundcloud.com/kbeesmusic

I like the vibe of the track, it moves along quite nicely and the beat has a nice groove to it.

It could be that my ears are tricking me, but I have the feeling that there is a phase issue with the rhodes playing through the track. The first chord is panned to one side, and the panning feels a bit unnatural, though I can't exactly tell what it is.

The rhodes that playes the fills could be a little louder for my taste, I feel that it's muffled away a bit and in my view it could be a bit more on the foreground (just for the fills)

I had something of a struggle in getting the melody of the theme, more precisely I don't feel the rhythmic phrasing of the sixth bar of the theme. Perhaps you could search in finding another phrasing, since I think the notes themselves are already quite logical.

Hope this will be of use

I like the Rhodes solo at about 2.00....

I'd like to hear a bit more variation-perhaps a chorus/verse/bridge?

Nice one!!!

Well it's hardly a rhodes solo...more like a few fills
Choruses/verses/bridges I thought about since they're usually elements of "normal" songwriting. This is house however, and I chose against them since house usually works with different connotations (such as feel, groove, mood and tension etc)
+ plus it was easier! :hihi: I did this in one afternoon
Thanks for listening as always Chuck :tu:
