Cat: Forget Red — let's go all the way up to Brown Alert!
Kryten: There's no such thing as a Brown Alert, sir.
Cat: You won't be saying that in a minute! And don't say I didn't alert you!

Not being rule police or anything, but just out of curiosity, how does the Kore FX work? Done some searches but can't come up with much. Come to think of, I don't even really get how Kore works basically.. :help:

OK MA-Simon, I'll do that :)

kore player is free to download from native instruments web

Ok, mines up.

Style is a bit all over the place. Some triphop, some dubstep, some late 90's style big beat.
Very sorry for the length. At 10 minutes, I know that's god damn long. Mostly due to long melodic phrase. However, it's not boring; it changes multiple times. Personally, I think it's worth it.
Also, sorry if mixing sucks. Not my strong suit, did it on headphones.
This is the first original I've finished, I hope you like it.

Sorry to be a pain, but I've just uploaded the last version of my track - Skanky Funker (v3). If it's not too much trouble tattiemannie, could you remove the original and (v2) versions? I promise that v3 is my very last alteration.

Cheers :)

How do MOK,

Before the boss sees, we usually ask for freebie FX only available to all.

I'm not up to speed with Cubase, but I'd imagine the FX are not available to us Fruity oiks and the like :hihi:

Perhaps there may be scope to use it "as is" without a lot more remix work for you...

I'll leave that to the boss and others to comment on - to be honest, I'm OK with this but we have our rules... :help:

Look forward to hearing it anyway 8)

(10 Instances before... i think, added new lead lines over the old version)
The new lead was created by layering 4-5 Rogue sounds...

Host:
Cubase Studio 5

FX:
little "Reverbering" on the lead sounds

I was under the impression host native Eq/compression/delay/reverb was legal?
It's certainly not a boon, they're simplistic, and not known for quality. ><

*edit, oh bloody hell, instructions say host native *EQ*. So I got it wrong....
Heck, these freeware fx you guys are using are probably better than what I've got, so it certainly wont hurt my entry... The problem is learning them in all in time!
That, and re-opening that project does not sound appealing. Blah. :?

Jeez!!! I've never ever seen so much automation on a track; is that usual for you???

tattiemannie wrote:**FX**
The use of Fx will be limited to
EQ ( including exciter type ), Delay ( unmodulated ), static spatial ( reverb, ambience, stereo width etc.) and dynamics (Compression/gate/limiter).

Hosts native EQ is acceptable, but otherwise such Fx must .....
*be freeware, and easily available via download.
*generally usable in a wide range of hosts
I have to say that you probably right, using host fx doesn't offer much advantage - you could probably have achieved as good results with freeware. Personally, I don't think it's that big a deal (but rules is rules.... as some might say).

Hey there's no need to be snappy. I already complimented your work, possibly saved your entry from being void and my question was simple and honest enough.

Not exactly... *barf*
I took that section measure by measure, but in the end it sounds not much better than chaos... Though the values are anything but random.

No doubt. I could use some suggestions for a freeware compressor/stereo delay/reverb... Maybe I can make it in time.

try the Voxengo freebies - pretty good. Or the Kjhaerus (spel) classic delay / reverb.
