Receptor 2 - vs - Rev. C - vs - Rev. B

I'm looking into buying a Receptor, but it's EXPENSIVE, so I'd like to buy an older version for a lower price. I'm just wondering what I would be losing by buying an older one.

So, if I understand correctly, there's Receptor 2, and Rev. B and C are different versions of Receptor 1. If I'm wrong, please set me straight. Otherwise, here's my question:

What are the disadvantages of getting Rev. C as opposed to version 2? In turn, what would be the disadvantages of getting Rev. B as opposed to Rev. C? I'm only talking about the standard versions of Receptor...Pro would only cost more, and I don't think I'll need the extra power anyway.

If you have any other advice on getting a Receptor cheap (relatively speaking), I'd really appreciate it. I'd love to be able to pay less than $1000, and looking at what's available on eBay, that just might be doable.
