And in other news, I figured out why the settings don't stick with sidekick, or why it wont bounce out the compression:

It's a demo.
...Duh.

Screw it. I'm just gonna automate the volume.

Where do we get to hear all these competition tracks? Rouge was one of the synths I was thinking of deleting :-o

...Same here.

On a side note, did anyone else experience randomly changing values within Rogue during this? On a couple different days, my kick would inexplicably change it's 'filter level' when I tried to bounce, for instance. Very aggravating!

Okey dokey, after much last-minute tribulation, I've replaced all plug-ins with freeware. I didn't really remix it, as I'm out of patience from all the bugs and crashes I started getting. So my lackluster mix got worse. Oh well.

The non-freeware version can be deleted.

Great stuff Nahkranoth ... cheers for the submission .. :) ... Glad you didn't allow the panning automation thing stop you posting .... you know, if you really want to do more with your track, theres nothing says you cant do with it what you want when the comp is over ... I guess what you want to do for the purposes of your own satisfaction are probably beyond what is required for this comp.
Here, what we want is to hear what sounds you have created with Rogue and how you have put them together in a track with the minimum of frills and flashes.
Now you have submitted, the track is still yours and you can throw what you like into it ... use other synths, use payware fx, remix/master at your leisure and post it in the Music cafe or wherever :)

MOK19 ... well done! ... cheers for putting in the effort to satisfy the rules. best of luck with your track .... I repeat the above re. your original entry .... if you like the version you did with the cubase fx, develop it free of deadlines and rules, and share it elsewhere :)

So anyway, a little over 9 hours still to go, and we have almost as many tracks as we got for the xmas comp!! .... superb! :)
.. ( errr 32 x rogue?? :-o :-o :-o )

I'm wondering how big this comp will have to get before KVR owners offer
Receptor as a prize?? :hihi: :hihi:

Also, any one going to give the Ohm Force comp a shot?

I think I'm going to give it a go...

Oh yeah! who is on FL forum site and what is your screen name if you don't mind saying. And have you tried the FL Drumatrix. I just picked up Idrum and I've put a track to gather I'm thinking of entering in the music Cafe comp.

Good luck with the New Year OSC every one, vote for me :hihi:

Yellowfever ... dont delete it! persevere! it can be a b*st*rd to program, but with a little getting used to, it does shit that other shit does shit at! :hihi: ... I see abstractcats has given you a link ... hope you enjoy that collection as much as I have ... and maybe, just maybe this time round, folks will upload their presets to support this wonderfully strange little synth :) ... there are some in the Rogue presets folder already.

I dont have the presets folder link handy, but if you click on my sig, and download the 'links' textfile, you will get a link to the presets folder.

Wow I like the number of instances some are racking up, impressive to keep track of them all, 19 gave me a headache already.

But kudos on some terrific sounds with all that, especially drums.

Post

Slightly OT ... anyone ever had their 'puter fan make strange noises?
it's quiet here, and along with the usual soft 'whirr' I can hear an additional element which sounds like Tuvan throat singing/mouth music ... like the kind that incorporates overtone whistling!

I cant decide whether it's a source of nuisance or a source of inspiration!

... One-fan-challenge anyone?

Post

Cheers Tattie, and nice job again with everything, especially the begging.. (seriously, not something anyone likes to do)
