I was having the same trouble. Keep in mind that there is an input and output map. You have to set the input to match the format of the midi file and set the output to whatever mapping your sound source uses. So, in the case of the oddgroove freebies that came with this GB, the input would be i-map and the output would be Drum Masters. If you were using a General Midi file, you would set input to GM and leave output as Drum Masters.jarrydee wrote:Yes..I select Sonic reality>imap on ezplayer pro version 1.0.5 and these midi grooves don't play right, the hi hat is a tom and so on, every other midi loop I have works, just not these free ones. I can drag them from a folder onto a midi track in protools and it works but I prefer to use ezplayer so you can at least audition it. It's weird because it does work just dragging it to the midi track, but not with ezplayer..I tried setting it to imap, drum masters, imap extended, does not work in any of them.DarkStar wrote:Do you have the latest EZplayer pro (v1.0.5?) - it was updated to deal with some mapping bug. And are you selecting Sonic Reality >> Drum Masters or iMap (Extended)? If so, can you give some details of what you are getting?jarrydee wrote:Anyone having trouble with these free midi grooves and Ezplayer pro? I set Ezplayer to imap and load a DM kit and it is not playing right! Anyone else???
has anyone else tried these loops in ezplayer? I would like to know if it is just me having the problem because I am pretty sure I am doing it right!
The input is set by pressing the "MAP WRAP" button and the output is set on each individual track by pressing the button\arrow below the velocity knob.
Having the input map set to match the fromat of the file also seems to be the method Ezplayer uses to determine which individual kit piece patterns to show on the far right of the browser in red.
This also explains why the midi file by itself in your host plays back ok...it's feeding the correct note info to Infinite Player directly, whereas in EZplayer ,without the input map set correctly, it is translating what it believes to be a GM file.
