Do you have the latest EZplayer pro (v1.0.5?) - it was updated to deal with some mapping bug. And are you selecting Sonic Reality >> Drum Masters or iMap (Extended)? If so, can you give some details of what you are getting?
Yes..I select Sonic reality>imap on ezplayer pro version 1.0.5 and these midi grooves don't play right, the hi hat is a tom and so on, every other midi loop I have works, just not these free ones. I can drag them from a folder onto a midi track in protools and it works but I prefer to use ezplayer so you can at least audition it. It's weird because it does work just dragging it to the midi track, but not with ezplayer..I tried setting it to imap, drum masters, imap extended, does not work in any of them.

has anyone else tried these loops in ezplayer? I would like to know if it is just me having the problem because I am pretty sure I am doing it right!
I was having the same trouble. Keep in mind that there is an input and output map. You have to set the input to match the format of the midi file and set the output to whatever mapping your sound source uses. So, in the case of the oddgroove freebies that came with this GB, the input would be i-map and the output would be Drum Masters. If you were using a General Midi file, you would set input to GM and leave output as Drum Masters.

The input is set by pressing the "MAP WRAP" button and the output is set on each individual track by pressing the button\arrow below the velocity knob.

Having the input map set to match the fromat of the file also seems to be the method Ezplayer uses to determine which individual kit piece patterns to show on the far right of the browser in red.

This also explains why the midi file by itself in your host plays back ok...it's feeding the correct note info to Infinite Player directly, whereas in EZplayer ,without the input map set correctly, it is translating what it believes to be a GM file.

I dont use the "Tracks" in ezplayer, I just set the main one to imap, audition the loops and if I like it I drag and drop it to a midi track, I don't use the tracks on ezplayer..i will try what you said though!!

PS. I have no problems with the "oddgrooves" that came with the group buy, I am talking about the free ones squids posted the other day..it has a folders with fast, slow and, grooves, and they are imap but don't work with ezplayer, the oddgroves work fine!! I dont know what the problem is!!

Again, there is this coy mention of a surprise....
I could use a good surprise right about now...
Almost ready. Maybe Monday I will announce the surprise. I think it's a really cool option for people who got this bundle. In fact, it's what I would want so... I think many of you will too!

OK..I got the imap loops working with ezplayer, when you drag a new midi folder onto ezplayer you have to select Imap, I was just leaving it at "thru" and only selecting Imap when using it but, you must tell ezplayer at the time you drop the new midi folder into it to be stored!! Sorry for this stupid mistake and thank you for all the help!!!

Where did you find those grooves? I don't see them in my folder.

thanks I got them. I had thought they were from the GB. I'll play with them until the others are finished.

There ARE even more iMap midi files for the group buy. They will be in your user area soon. But for now you have some of them to download from the VITAL INFO thread.

OK the GB has got me hooked and I'm looking for more of these great drums.

I just can't recall though where the coupon codes where posted.

Were they emailed or are they hidden amongst posts on one of the forums here on KVR.

I'm still stunned what a great GB this has been, thankyou Squids

If you want more Ocean Way Drums, then the coupons are in that VITAL INFO thread.

If you want more Drum Masters 2... well, there is a reason we haven't released the coupons for the Drum Masters Signature Vol. 1 and 2 yet. Imagine getting the rest of those kits of those two titles (including drum kits from famous drummers) plus MORE drums on top of that, MORE convolution impulses, MORE midi grooves (Over 1,000 more) and all for a price you could even make lower the more people got it... All will be revealed on Monday.

Ha, ha! I was just reading about those signature kits a couple of hours ago, and suspecting that they may have something to do with Monday's announcement. That's great!

I want 'em all! :-)

Also, a thorough "tour" of the interface and features of Drum Masters 2 finally coming to the forum. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=277554 This is a more interactive version of the manual for Drum Masters 2 Signature Kits that is coming.

Post

Okay, I spent pretty much all day doing this: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 25#3968925

I hope it helps! A nice tour of the interface there with explanations of all the parameters. Let me know if I missed anything or if you have any questions. You can give your opinion of the approach HERE in this thread (let's try to keep that thread just for people's questions about how things work, not for other things like opinions about an interactive tutorial/manual).

By the way, a full PDF manual is also coming. But before that is finalized we want to make sure people understand the concepts and explanations so this is a chance to ask for more clarification if needed or to give feedback saying "yes, that was helpful!". If there's any sort of "how do you do this?", please let us know. We do also have a thread all about tutorial requests so those suggestions are probably best there... in order to be able to keep track.
