ZerbaCM is available in Audiounit and for Intel? my Computer music magazine dvd is missing i cannot check.

Strange you ask. I just tried opening it on my new intel mac, and it crashed.
It doesn't work...so I think not intel compatible. Just a hunch.
Worked fine on my ppc though.

its nice know. bit sad becouse today i liked this synth when i tested this (VST version on PC). But Going change to Mac.(many reasons).

Okay will do.

I did something different though, as I'm away on vacation now, without the disk.
I just copied the component from my old computer to the new one.
I don't know if that would be a problem as I don't remember it having an installer.
Maybe I need to wait to use the disk to install it.

ZebraCM works for me as AU in Digital Performer under Snow Leopard on Intel Mac Pro.

Yes, ZebraCM is an excellent way to learn about Zebra in my opinion.

• 2 x Z2 Oscillator with fixed GeoMorph waveforms, fixed OSC FX to Symmetry (for PWM) and Filter (for osc timbre). Each Osc can be set to single/dual/quad mode.
  1 x Z2 Noise module with its own low and hig pass filters built in.
  1 x Z2 Filter (VCF, not the XMF one) with 19 sub-type modes available
  2 x Z2 Envelope with the advanced envelope settings available from the "more Env" tab at the bottom.
  3 x Z2 LFO including stepped mode (2 regular LFOs, 1 global LFO)
  1 x Z2 ModFX effect module (a Chorus, Phaser, or a Corus/Phaser hybrid effect)
  1 x Z2 Delay effect module
  1 x Z2 Reverb module

There's a miniature version of the effects section from Z2 on the lower left allowing you to customize your effect chain.

The signal path is hardwired to:
[OSC1]->[OSC2]->[NOISE]->[VCF]->[MIX & FX]

The only hardwired modulation is LFO1 to OSC1 and OSC2 vibrato. Anywhere in the screenshot you see a knob or a box with "...", "ModWhl", "EnvX", "LFOX" is a modulation destination.

Playmodes are poly, legato, retrigger.

All presets created with ZebraCM are loadable into Z2 and you can expand on the original sound with Z2's set of modules and effects.

You should check out the soundsets in the free library and Choose ZebraCM. You can even load these presets into a demo version of Zebra2 to see the signal path and OSC waveforms if you like.

ZebraCM is built around the slightly older 2.2-2.3x Zebra engine, so you won't get the new portamento modes, duophonic mode, or the new 2.5 tweaks to the filters. With that said, there's still a lot of sonic exploration with all 19 filters and they'll load into Zebra2 in 2.3 compatibility mode.

It's well worth the $15-$20 purchase price of a computer music magazine + DVD.
