Hey, Tried to buy it but keep getting blocked by paypal with a ' We don't ship to this address message.'

Tried the default pre-filled address, and another... still not working :-(

Never had this issue before, anyway maybe you could send me a direct paypal address or something?

Hi Skank,

Well thanks for asking,

I checked all orders and I had to go back to the 6th of January to find a Paypal aborted process for Magic Wand ( Initials M.H - US Ca -)

We send an email for each Paypal aborted process, wether musician attempted to pay via an existing Paypal account or a direct CC-Via-Paypal paiement), did you received it ?

Anyway I'll Pm you for a possible solution.

Thanks,

Hi

Thanks for reply. Don't know for sure, but maybe it can't register as an aborted process because paypal tells me 'We don't ship to this address message.' and doesn't continue any further ( stops just after reg page ). But will check PM

cheers

Hi Skank,

Yes thanks for giving more details.

Well I've never seen or heard of this Paypal message before (on many hundreds of orders) so I cant tell you for sure.

All Soundbanks are delivered by Email sofar, so the delivery adress should be the same than the adress on your account.(As the billing adress btw)

Atm the main Paypal bug we have to face in a regular way are the invalid characters in adress or name ( like german Umlauts ü,ö etc). This can easily be worked on by just replacing the characters with standards ones.

Each time a user goes for the checkout, a temporar order is written in the database, and this occurs just before reaching the first Paypal page, so actually, there should be an aborted order somewhere in your account.
Then when users have completed the Paypal process, the temporary state of the order is automatically changed into "pending" status.

This is the part of the bug I cant understand atm. Maybe if you provide me your details and/or order number, I can investigate further and try to discover what possibly went wrong. This is a very new and unusual situation for us, hence why I need more details to find a possible turnaround.

Until now we always could find some, or at least one, turnarounds to allow people to benefit of our soundbanks so ..... lets cross fingers :)

Cheers,

Hi,

Just to inform everybody that we did find a solution with Skank, (Thanks Skank for all the feedback :) ) that there was finally no bug on our site, and that everything is working fine, including shop's services and utilities.

Else : To everybody interested : Please don't stress about the deadline for the Magic Wand introductory price. Though it should normally end in two days, we'll maintain it until a few days after the nex Camel Audio Newsletter is sent, in wich Magic Wand will be mentioned. ( A big Thanks to Col, Ben and Andy for their support and well ... so many other things   )

The final deadline will be announced both on our site and in the Market Place thread ......... as soon as I will know it :)

Thanks for reading,

As promised, :)

The Oculus the 1rst expansion for our Alchemy's Magic Wand soundset is almost ready.

I'll post the Audio Demos here tomorrow and The Occulus will begin to ship to all Magic Wand users before the end of the week.

As there's still no CA newsletter the introductory price will however end in a few days , probably on Sunday, but I'll post details on this in the Market Place.

Thanks for reading.

The Oculus - 1rst expansion set for Magic Wand

Here it is.

As usual naked truth one instrument only demos. SOme of the first clips use morphing between the Remix Pads instead of only Mod Wheel + pushing the keys. So it means two Midi tracks : 1/ Playing 2/ Automation with two Midi controllers linked to the remix pads. Wow :-o

All comments and questions welcomed :)

Thanks for reading and eventually listening and have a real nice day (very snowy here) :)

No replies to the last post so far ? -shame on you :D

OK, seriously, some cool sounds in the demo, Lotuzia,
and after listening to the add-on presets, I really enjoyed (once again) especially your Keys and Pad sounds, and also those in the 'arpeggiated' section.
What I like about these sounds in general, is that they're a nice contrast to some other Alchemy sounds - quite a lot warm and soft sounds ('VA like'), even with the brighter sounds included in this pack.

Of course just my 2 cents
(but you might agree...)

Greetings from an also snowy part of this world

Loving the new sounds. Though, to be honest, I got stuck at Hermes as a Girl. Love it when that happens, auditioning sounds turns into a full on creative session based on the potential of a single preset.

Thank you for adding so much more value to my original purchase.

Thanks a lot Losan for your kind comments

Yeah there's a lot of Keys and Pads again in The Oculus. :-o :o

And the ARP folders becomes more crowded too :) Arps and sequences are the most likely between instruments to be customised and modified to your taste, to fit tracks and projects, or impulse some. Just modify some notes, or a rythm, and the preset becomes fully yours.

For the warm character -or I should say my vision of such instruments - just a little trick for those interested : If you use Unisson features, pay attention to all the parameters : If you just increase the number of voices, well youll get the standard unisson, that everybody uses (and likes btw). But when you'll get into details, you can build your own sound. And thats when Unisson can become a part of what can be called, and I fully agree there, a warmer and softer sound.

Hi Bobsled,

Many thanks for your kind comments :)

Hermes as a girl is one of the "an instrument is a picture" pads from the soundset, and tbh its one of my favs too :)

The most difficult thing -imho- when you design pads is to decide if the Pad will be a fully featured one, or a more restricted one. In the first case, like Hermes, you know that the pad in the end will have a lot of frequencies, and you have to think "Layer and animation". In the other case, the Pad will be restricted (like some strings of the soundest) and are intended to be used in a more classic composing and writing style like 4 voices composing or even bigger scores. Ie a "string Pad" can play the first violins pupitre part. But you know you'll have to add some cellos (or something in the cello range) under, and the woodwinds ( or something in the idea of woodwinds ) above to make it really shine. Imho again this decision has to be taken very early in the "life" of a pad. If not, there's a big risk to get a muddy preset.

Well, .... the life of pads  :D

Anyway very glad you liked the soundset. We make instruments for you :)

Hi Ltz, thanks for this new set of patches. Some very sweet, classy and, as usual, every one of these patches is either usable in an existing piece, or inspires a new one :)
And again, well done for going the extra step with the patch list, which is more than just a patch list. Not been doing much with the music lately, but this makes me want to find the time from somewhere...

Very glad you like them. The patch list includes a comment for each patch and will be included in the last release of the manual, wich will come with the second expansion free soundset for Magic Wand. So I kept the same info structure to make it easy to integrate.

I hope you'll find some more times for music in the future, and keep on exploring Magic Wand's Meta Instruments. I'm myself surprised by some variations on the Remix Pads :o :-o :hihi:

This would be so cool if Camel Audio could add the possibility of NAMING remix pads. So obviously helping, and probably not so hard to code. I've requested this several times but nothing atm.

09/10 : Following Ben's ( Head of Camel Audio) request to all Alchemy's soundbanks 3rd party developpers to mention this :

The Alchemy PLAYER version ,recently released by Camel Audio won't load 3rd party soundbanks and will only load CA commercial banks

So to use Magic Wand you'll need the full version of Alchemy :)

Well its done Ben :)
