Hi,

I've been working on a project for some weeks now. It has some instances of Uhbik plugins in it. I upgraded to Live 8.1.1 from 8.0.9 a few days ago and it all kept running fine. But then I just tried to an Uhbik-F to a track and it crashed Live.

So the project opens fine with Uhbiks in it but I can't add any further Uhbiks.

In fact, I can't add Uhbik's to any project (new or existing). It always crashes straight away.

I can email a crash log if you tell me where to.

Uhbik VSTs work without problem.

I'm running Ableton Live 8.1.1 on OSX 10.5.8. My computer is a MBP 2.8Ghz with 4GB Ram.

I no longer have Ableton 8.09 to try.

Please help :-)

Thanks

This is a known bug with Audio Units hosted by Ableton Live 8.1.1. This is fixed in the most recent Live beta, but if you're loath to upgrade Ableton also suggest the following workaround here:
* close Live
* create a plain text file with the name "options.txt" in Live's preferences folder:

user/library/preferences/ableton/live 8.1.1

* copy the following text (including the minus at the beginning) and place it right at the beginning of the options.txt (top left corner):

-_PluginAutoPopulateThreshold=0

* save options.txt
* start Live
Architect, the modular MIDI toolkit, beta now available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Thanks!

Bugs are amazing... amazingly annoying!

How you get a bug like that is beyond me though...

All the best,

Alex
