Pardon my noobosity, but could anyone give me some tips on how to use effectrix with launchpad in Live please?

The sugar-bytes page says to use "Run on MIDI note", which I presume is actually "Trigger by MIDI". But from that point I'm not sure what to do.

Any pointers please?

If the launchpad does send midi notes there should be no problem.
Just trigger it by midi notes, and/or change the patterns via midi notes.
Check the manual to setup the routing in Live.
