Hello masters,
I don't know what it is called in expert's terms,
is it possible to make the volume change as the time flows?
For example, if I want to reproduce strings that start at pianissimo and gradually grow to forte, what can I do?
I know I can do this with audio files, but not MIDI.
Thank you.

Solutions:
1 - Make an automation track for fader.
2 - Make an automation for volume knob.
3 - Use the new "line tool" from version 3 to change velocities for your instrument.

If you use a midi controller, assign a slider or a knob to the fader (richt click to the slider - map midi controller - start moving the button on your midi keyboard - ok).
Then hit "record" and start playing with that button.
If your midi controller don't have sliders and buttons, just hit "record" and start moving the slider with your mouse.
Check this example I made for you:

proposal, if you like to keep the volume slider
as manual overall volume control (for this instrument):
In the second slot (below the instrument) put
the mulab vst-effect LEVELLER.
Then, instead of MIXER STRIP, choose this plugin as target
(sub element AMPLIFIER).
In the controlLing sequenz the track GAIN must have the contolling volume curve.
Now you have volume automation,
but you still can use the volume slider for mixing with other tracks.
Keep in mind: velocity change is not always the same as volume change,
this depends on the instrument plugin,
e.g. I have some guitar plugins, when plays with max. velocity,
you have some kind of pitch, like in reality, this is not the same as
a simple volume increase.
btw., how to use ther new "line tool" ?

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!
