Personally I think the single best thing companys can do when selling
high end / priced software is to work on future updates.

Trust me, much respect is gained by doing such things.

Well you are right, and we did a lot of updates in the past. But at some point you just want to start something new, especially if you are on a point where all products are in a very stable state and no serious issues are known.
I'll think about giving the swing update a higher priority.

Receiving free or even paid updates to software products helps keep me interested in them and the other products that a company might offer...
No updates = boring, and I would prefer to own products that grow over time.

We have a 1.3 Release candidate. We will release it in the next week.
If you are an registered owner of Effectrix, you already can test the new features.
Just send an email at info@sugar-bytes.de , and i'll give you a link to the new version. Please write whether you want the Pc or MAC version.

cool,

is there a way to lock the presets into keyboard patterns.

at the moment you select a presets move to the next pattern and the preset zaps.

I am sure I mentioned this way back and it was going to be looked into.

Hi Topaz,

the patterns only contain the bars.
You have to use the modtrack to adjust the effect parameters for the specific pattern.

thats not what I mean, you should be able to load a preset into keyboard pattern 1 then select pattern 2 select a new preset, then onto 3 4 etc.

right now the presets do not work in keyboard pattern mode, only using the 1st pattern.

is that clear ?

Ok i understand. This won't be possible, because a preset always contains all pattern data. But i think about a workaround, so that you could use the internal copy/paste between to instances. This way you could copy from 1 instance and paste into the other.
I'll see whether this can be done.

I've been giving the new swing feature in the RC1.3 version a try this evening and it's a very nice addition. So simple, but really helps to dial in that groove. Thanks!
