Simple rules - for this contest, please submit a lead sound or two for Zebra. Good leads can make me go out of my mind ... I think this should be a good contest :)

* Deadline for submissions is March 1st (three weeks from today)
* Entrants may submit one or two patches
* Please scrub your name from submitted patches (or stuff like MSEGs, OSC presets that can also have an author tag) - a blank author field or a ? or a * in there is great.

To submit, please PM me on these forums or e-mail patches to [xh3rv.andrew] [ at ] [gmail] [.] [com]. I'll also provide a drop.io link to submitters near the deadline. Have fun!

Just some observations here which, like opinions and bum-bums I'm sure everyone has got ...

Leads do require an extra level of depth to pull off the right way, IMO. Lead sounds will be up front, and every bit of articulation and modulation will show up pretty clearly to the listener. Additionally, I think as much as anywhere people want to hear strong instrumentalism in leads. So a lead sound from a player's perspective has to be really responsive. Well worth the effort, though.

This is just a suggestion, but I see a lot of leads can have very different reactions to performance data like PW / MW/ AT / Velocity ... putting some text in the usage / description details or on the XY page will probably be especially useful to patch users here.

It just turned into the 2nd by my watch, and I think submissions are all in. Patch authors should get an e-mail in a little while (several hours), and the set should be out in a day (assuming no problems).
