If a new user of MU.LAB downloads and unzips the package, and then opens mulab.exe, they are first presented with the License Agreement. Then, after clicking 'I Agree', up pops the 'Audio Setup' prompt-box. I like this, and of course this step of setting the driver is essential for MU.LAB to work.

On the other hand, Midi settings, are chosen after MU.LAB opens (via Edit->MIDI Setup).

I'm just wondering - would it be desirable to have a similar prompt-box for 'Midi Settings', at the start up ?
Or maybe there's some reason for not doing this ?

The MIDI setup have been removed from the initial startup procedure to make that very first run of the app as easy as possible. The MIDI setup is not vital for exploring MU.LAB. And it's still easy to find MIDI Setup, imho.

Ok.

I certainly agree on the first run being made as easy as possible, and you're also right about 'Midi Setup' being simple enough to find, etc.

I'm probably just getting a bit lazy in my old age !

Thanks Jo.

Not too bad I suppose - considering that I was gigging in London before the Beatles arrived !

Thanks also for all of the exciting things in MU.LAB, MultiSampla, etc. They are making sure that I stay young at heart !

When I was a little boy listening to the Beatles for the first time on my parents' stereo, John Lennon had just died.

And now you're using MU.LAB and I'm using MU.LAB.
