Switching it on and off doesn't help, I have to restart the whole DAW to sort it. This happens with alarming regularity now.

Also it will suddenly start to crackle, I suspect this is the start of the 'feedback lock' problem described above..
Yes, I've had it locking up with maxed levels thing several times. It's crashed Live a couple of times too (which means that I have to reboot the computer). I haven't noticed any of the crackling though.

EDIT: I've just had it happen again, and it was preceded by crackling. I was tweaking filter cut off, so perhaps it's some feedback algo in the filter?

Ziokiller, thanks! You're a great guy :)

I got crackling sound when I made a little track just to go through the presets, the crackling disappeared when I set the synth to polymode. Very strange since cpu was ok (only one instance), and no latencyspikes, just crackle. :-o
It turned out the kittens mittens were hidden in the cats pyjamas all along.

Yeah, just try and find a good crackle effect when you really need it,
and they vanish :-o :hihi:

Tell you what guys, I would love to have a problem with a synth which forced me to use a different host for a change .... but unfortunately, I have a shitty old computer which doesn't seem to choke on anything past it's sell by date!

However, I've not started my track yet, so I think I'm gonna take the plunge and use something other than FL just for the hell of it! :)

.... Might do Madtracker actually ... been a while :)

I'm almost ready with my track. But I noticed the project file for the host got over 14MB big. It also probably explains why it takes a lot longer to save than other songs.

So far I tried it only in SAVIHost. While going through presets sound turned down two times. I had to restart the host :( I hope it won't be happening a lot in MU.LAB - my main host

I did some more testing and almost all presets gives clicks and pops and crackling sound, and it crashed ablaton too. I tried maxing out the dx latency too, no change, tried asio, maxed out the latency, no change.

Does it just change the pitch of Osc2?
Also I don't know what spread on the filter does. :help:
Only Mr.Serrano knows. And perhaps the gawd himself.
The frequency knob just change OSC 2 pitch. Useful for fixed frequencies while Sync.
About the spread: Shifts the Cutoff point down on each sucessive cascade stage.

I like savihost personally, but I've heard minihost is better but I've not tried yet, I think it costs about $25.

Good to hear it's not only on my system. Dunno if it's the filters causing it, but there's a switch in the oscillator section where an option is 'stable' I believe, maybe the other one shouldn't be chosen? ;)

Does 'X- Mod' do anything?

Hi bserrano, and thanks for this nice Anubis instrument, among many others. Some of us are hearing a little crackle noise, for example, in the the excellent Supersine preset, it is very noticeable, and on each note. I tried every knob on the gui thinking something must just need a nudge, to no avail.
The same noise can be heard on other presets too. Any clues would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers :)

Using the Super Sine patch, with delay off, hit the random button in the Amplitude Envelope section a dozen or so times, the crackle changes, comes and goes etc. Changing the relationship between sustain and release also can have an effect. So I think something in the envelopes could be a culprit, as I can get the pop at both the end of the sound, and the beginning. Hope this helps :)

edit: With the attack setting on the left side of the dial, decay and sustain each on the seventh marker, (3/4 of the dial)
and release on the fourth marker (slighty left of dead center) there are no pops.

:-o quick, save that preset!

I'd thought it was the amp envelope, doing most if not all of the clicking.
