Doubt I'll be able to vote this time round - my studio is pulled apart at the moment so I can't play the sounds.
Kind regards.

now look people...if you are going to make patches THIS good then you will have to pay me for judging [err, that was DUMB you give me these AWESOME patches of course
].......damn 2 hours now going over these with a fine toothed comb! and that's just tonight. you guys are WILD. there is SO MUCH variety in nearly EVERY entry. if i was Urs i would just say screw it and give you all medals. so much ways to vary Timbre, mods, oscfx, detune and general mix options. But not only this.. one can tell when playing and using these sounds that someone KNOWS what is what and how to use it. but at this point i feel like i am beginning to second guess myself because my eyelids are getting heavy so i will go hesitantly and cautiously with the following before it is too late (literally, it's bedtime
)
OK so here I am MAINLY judging on the few that i thought gave most in the area of Sound, Usability and Perform. Maybe there was a patch sounding GREAT but lacked just a bit of performance that other entries had or maybe there was a sound that was just a little weak out-of-the-box until one started fiddling with the performance pads. in the end...
1ST) HORNEE+ (i played with this for LONG time. on poly mode too..mm)
2ND) PICKLES+ (absolutely love the envs in this one [among other juicy things AND i REALLY like how you label the XYpads with UpDownLeftRight.. i do not know why but it translates better to my brain than x and y..lol)
3RD) LONGSTOCKING (played you for LONG time, excellent comb control, such variation, such inspiring timbres)
I am
deep inside.. I WANT you all to win.
Piercing PWM+ (silk in so many ways. Great vintage smooth lead)
Nice Rack+ (i got some great drum n bass things out of this)
Leadolomew and Spandexxxx (a couples variations i got out of you almost won you a spots hands-down, excellent for dnb or hard music)
Kuwzoo+ (one that was not jumping out at me at first but MAN..play around with this det, filt, env and it can get extremely nice leads for trance etc)
the other two were very nice as well. seriously, you all did so good that i have a headache (and heartache) now as i go off to bed. Thank you so much for sharing you hard work/knowledge.

Too bad there was no "get your votes in" warning.
I would have voted if there was more time to do so.
Usually the time to vote is longer.
Whatever, I just got up here...
Congratulations JackD

If sniglex didn't have time to vote I would have won.mcnoone wrote:Too bad there was no "get your votes in" warning.

I agree: less than a week is shorter than we had previously. I made it OK, but not everyone is able to visit very frequently.mcnoone wrote:Too bad there was no "get your votes in" warning.

The last post on page 1 was supposed to be a 'get your votes in' warning o.0
Anyways, sorry about the slightly earlier deadline but I wasn't quite sure I'd have internet access (on the road a little bit).

I thought so. That is why I decided to take the time to finish reviewing the entries and cast a vote.xh3rv wrote:The last post on page 1 was supposed to be a 'get your votes in' warning o.0

Congratulations to JackD for winning. That's a really great solo horn.
And of course to anybody else who contributed. Lots of beautiful high quality sounds.

Is there any way we can get all the entries for all 8 patch contests, with the authors' names back in the patch? I'd really like to have this, and I'm just asking. I thought it might be better to ask now, rather than much later.
