I just posted this on the NI forum, but figured I might as well post this here... I adjusted the size to 50x50 and I'm guessing that for knobs in Reaktor, a good standard size for me will rest between 40x40 and 50x50 (like Limeflavour mentioned), although I can see possibly wanting larger sizes for one or two knobs once I get deeper into Reaktor.

The synth is just my scratchpad that was built following the macprovideo.com tutorial (which is a few macros simpler than the Komplete 6 manual guide synth).

Funny. I do the opposite and always render at higher resolution from knobman, because the anti-aliasing and sub-pixel positioning in knobman is far from perfect, yet easily fixed by oversampling and scaling externally afterwards (and if one just leaves a bit of a margin around the images to avoid interpolating stuff between frames, scaling the whole strip at once works fine).

those are really nice wok, good job.

Took a shot at the Hartman thing that you did, very cool controls on that synth. Did mine in psd though....
The hartman design would work cool for a steampunk thing replacing the leds with a lava lamp type of thing like you've done on the other things here. Personally, I think would be cool combination.

actually, with 8 bit per color element the maximum number of steps is limited to a number based upon 256 * the maximum brightness difference of any element in any pixel at the particular pixel boundary in that axis summed for all pixels in the axis. if for example you had a grey background where the brightness was 120 and your marker was black with 0, you'd have max_steps = 120 * axis_length. if the background became darker toward the end, though, the number of steps per pixel on that axis would be different depending upon the maximum delta between the background and foreground colors.

it might be simpler to just use what looks good.

I've tried knobman And skinman i love them, but I suck at them  .
I Can only make very simple graphics with out them falling apart.
So could someone help? people here appear to have some insane talent  !
If so could you design a GUI for me (PM me and I'll send you a picture/.SE1/Other).
Thanks.

I suppose that SE1 file is Synthedit, would one need this program to help out?
If not I'll PM you later after work if you haven't found anyone by then ;)

the best thing to do, to save anyone using SE if they dont have it, its to make a GUI yourself, showing the basic layout etc, and them someone can have a shot at a more desirable GUI, providing you with a background image and knobs/sliders/switches etc (at least thats how it has worked for me in the past)

First I have to say: it is very time consuming. Don't expect to get quick results. Some of the knobs I showed here took me 2 - 3 hours. And sometimes I am far away from getting the result I would like to have.
My latest design is an ongoing process of many, many days now:
Image60% size

As Kriminal said, if you need a GUI, make an example layout with the sliders and knobs in synthedit (including text) and do a screen copy of this, to give someone an idea.
