Maybe you could argue for being able to float off individual mixer strips?

That's also possible. E.g. double-click on a track header that targets a rack.

Ah! I knew I'd done it somehow. Can you add "Float" to the right-click menu on the rack header, please? (I know it's getting a little long...) Of course, it's only appropriate when the rack isn't in the MPA.

Err... bug report: right-click the mixer strip name shows "Replace" on the menu. That shouldn't be there. Looks like the menu may need a bit of a tidy over all.

Where is that? Can you eventually post/mail a screenshot please. Thanks.

If you use replace and pick another module, the rack disappears (of course)!
I've not tried cut and copy. Just not sure they're appropriate on a rack.
Perhaps these make sense when the rack is in the MPA?

I thought you meant on a rack mixerstrip. 'Replace' on a rack mixerstrip should not be possible.

But replacing/cutting/copying a rack is a useful and supported action, even when the rack is in the rackdesk.
