Hi, I just purchased Uhbik. All the effects in there are really great! But I can't wait anymore! Do you know yet when Uhbik-X will be released?

I've been wondering the same thing for a really long time.

I can't say that I didn't feel a little burned when ACE came out after I'd already spent my money on Uhbik. Not that it's not worth it as is... but a promise is a promise, no?

I think Urs mentioned that there were some pretty bad bugs that caused major delays in Uhbik-X development and that is why ACE came first.

I'm as excited about Uhbik-X as anyone but I can wait as long as it takes. Even if it never comes to be I'd still be completely satisfied with the Uhbik bundle as it is.

I'm also very satisfied with the current bundle. But the voice in my head keeps saying: "this could be even better with Uhbik-X"

Can't wait either, but multi-FX racks are tough to pull off IMO ... what is the best stuff out there right now, and how usable is it? Ableton's rack stuff isn't bad at all, Reaktor generates a lot of praise, I liked some of the FabFilter stuff when I demo'd it ... Tone2 FilterBank has some nice filters and but not much past that ... PSP Nitro had a really weak UI ...

I'm waiting as well, but I have to admit, I use ACE so much. It is my fav synth by far!!!

It will be some kind of rack for the other Uhbik plugins. Urs announced it some time ago.

Yeah, uhm, sorry... I seem to run into quite some issues every now and then. A lot of the work for Uhbik-X was also done for Zebrify (pitch/transient detection etc.), but then a load of other things came inbetween

The core idea behind Uhbik-X is to provide for a rack of any 4 Uhbiks with various options to route audio through fx in serial and parallel, with possibilities for band and transient splitting. On top of that, various modulators are going to be available for modulation of *any* knob.

The main problem as of now is the user interface. Each of the 9 current Uhbiks has to be redesigned with an alternative "mini skin" or otherwise Uhbik-X would become *huge*.

However, Uhbik-X is No.1 on my todo list after support for Win64.

It was always stated that the timing was uncertain... it goes along with the openness to publicly talk about future development (which few developers do) that some plans will not go as expected, that priorities change, that roadblocks arise and so on...

Personally, I do not consider Urs to have any obligation to provide Uhbik-X. I consider it a courtesy (not an obligation) that he talks about future plans to users.
