Ivory (on Receptor) - Noise/Hiss??

Good morning,

I just started spending more time on Ivory, running on my Receptor, and I'm hearing some stranger things through headphones playing the pianos. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it, but it almost sounds like slight "swells of noise" (like, static, hiss, the kind you'd apply noise reduction to) that lag the onset of notes slightly, particularly multiple ones played together. Getting it from two different keyboards running the thing. Like a little cloud of soft hiss that coincides with the notes playing. Not sustain pedal related.

Has anyone noticed anything like this? Are there any known artifacts like this? Less noticeable if I bring down the timbre setting (because the treble end gets softened, no brainer). Worse with the dynamic range squashed (compression causing that). Release samples aren't the only issue (although with many voices, some of the release samples are lingering on with a cloud of background noise for quite some time).

I'm kind of surprised - after all the superlative comments, these things are just sticking out to me - so I have to assume something is off?

Thanks for any corroboration or "nope, that's not normal" comments!

I'm using Ivory on a Receptor 2 Pro and it is running beautifully. I suggest you open a support ticket. From my experience Rick or Kevin have replied quickly and solved any issue I was having

It might just be background noise from the recording.

If you're playing several notes at once and you've got the sustain pedal down so you're sustaining notes it might just be a build up of noise which would explain why its swelling.

If you're listening on bright headphones it may be showing up more.
