The manual doesn't explain this at all. On the Absynth you don't have as many Phase parameters. You basically have a Phase Sync Switch which by default is on. IF you click it, it turns to "Free". Which I understand. It has a little "Inv" button to the left of the Phase Sync Switch. If you click it, it will invert the phase of you're osc. So if you do that to a saw wave and have another saw wave with regular phase you get a Pulse.

In Zebra, when you click the On/Off switch in the middle of the panel(phase tab) it inverts the wave. like if you have a saw and you turn this on the tooths on the oscilloscope go the opposite direction. So if this is the inv button what is the On/Off "inv" to the far left under the "Reset" On/Off" button?

I think its weird how by default the oscillator "Reset On/Off" button is Off(Free). But whatever.

My question after all that is what is the inv On/Off button to the far left, and what is the "Sync Knob" and what does it do?

The easiest way to learn about these is to watch zircon's youtube tutorials. If you just want to know about phase/sync and the little icons on the left check out:
, around 2:58.

I highly recommend watching all 3 videos. Andrew understands Zebra very well and those 3 videos will get you a long way to making sounds of your own.

Cheers!

(BTW, Urs is working on new a new Zebra manual but it's not ready yet)
