As a long time customer since the first release of Sylenth1... Has somebody an idea or some informations about Lennard Addink or his company if they are still in business?
Last update is about 2 years ago and I have not received a info about new updates, future plans etc. Thats a bit curious

Lennard? If you always read your customers feedback, may be you have an answer about the future of Sylenth1. Are you still in business or was Sylenth1 only a "one hit wonder". Is there something planned for the future? New ideas, updates, improvements?

If you're a long time customer like that, you should know by now that Lennard has as policy that he only answers questions related to problems that people have and not on future updates. Threads like this hence are kind of useless.

However, I spoke to him a few weeks ago though, he said he was still working on the update which was nearing completion, so I have hope we'll see someting at some point next month.

a quick search on the forum shows that Lennard show up every week to answer his customer problem

I think Lennard is used to reply to emails and give the right support to customers. With me he was pretty fast. If you have a specific question, or just feel alone and want to say hello, why dont u email him?

There are dozens plugins which havent been updated for ages and they still work great and are used in a-class productions. I'm afraid Sylenth1 is one of those.

In all honesty i cant understand thousands posts with the same exact questions which have the only scope to induce from Lennard some reaction. It makes no sense to me. And there's no reaction usually from him. And i seem able to sleep fine anyway.

why? the immutable result of any developer revealing future plans is that they get a critical mass of self-satisfied self-selected fanboys hailing the unheard, unknown future release to be the best thing evar, they then go on to simultaneously overburdening the developer with badgered with every last-minute feature demands for stuff that anyone in the universe ever thought of putting in a synth, and then finally an inevitable backlash from those same fanboys, now embittered that their feature requests werent followed to the letter, that they dont get the upgrade for free and that it hasnt actually cured their acne, and telling everyone how much better it would have been if their expectation hadn't been falsely raised, and how evil the developer was for leading them on, with the inevitable 'me toos' from the gallery of imbeciles who would never have bought the f**king thing in the first place.

Or put more simply, for those who got sidetracked mentally compiling a list of all the stuff they're about to ask for, 'damned if you do, damned if you dont'

If people have the feeling the company is dead, then something goes in the wrong direction. It's not a thing that somebody expect every week a "news update" and a announcement of new features. But after a long time without some news it could be a good thing to give their existing (and new) customers an idea what they can expect in the future?

Too much is bad as too little. If customers ask ever and ever, what is the wrong thing to give an answer "yes we working on an update, have something new for the middle of 2010" or some similar thing?

Is the same if you have a fanbase as a musician but are too silent, the time comes and all fans are gone. People are interested what is going on.
