It may be an automatic thing since the orginal deadline has passed. If the counter is closed, Squids will give us the update. And don't worry, we'll go over 500!

That kit reminds me of 70's Fleetwood Mac. Dreams on the Rumors album? I think you could get that with these kits.

What do you think Squids?

Not very authentic. They recorded the kits on oriental carpets. Should have been shag.

Actually, they sound great. Thanks for the link. I would imagine at least one of the GB kits (multi-track or other) could get pretty tight and close to what you're after. Maybe Squids could comment on which one.

Cheers

Just the other day I was listening to that and was thinking I should choose the "Retro Soul" multi-track kit to get that sound......and also some claps, of course.

"dreams".....that's the sound....tight as a nuns ****.......

i'm thinking retro soul as a multitrack with all overhead, room ambience and mic bleed removed......

but those toms ???

seriously.....don't tell me i'm gonna have to buy it

so , we're after the same type of thing....i wonder if we can't mimic that kit between ourselves and the uber amounts of samples we have

Yeah, I'm after the Fleetwood Mac sound now too. I think it's perfectly doable with the multi-track kits, even if you got to import the toms from one MT-kit to another.

And don't forget about compressors, envelops and transient designers........you can suck the life out of any drum.

When I knew about the new NI 70's drums I thought "oh my, there goes my money again". But, after listening to the demos, my impression was that it all can be done with our SR drums.

They surely are great.........and they are 7GB per kit!!!!. And you need Kontakt 4 (or K4 player).
