speed/pitch change when importing audio part (wav)

I imported an audio part (wav) 44.1 khz,
but during replay I recognized a faster speed then original file (about 10%),
and in turn a higher pitch.
When I first put the wav-file in the sampla then playback speed and pitch is ok.

I remember we had this discussion some month ago in this forum,
but I don't remember the reason (has to do with system sound frequency?).

The reason will be a difference in samplerate between the audiofile and the audio engine. Current solution: Resample the audio file using an audio editor e.g. Audacity.

Ah, ok,
also can change the samplerate in the audio setup to 44.1 (instead 48)
