Just bought Sylenth 1

what's the point in multi-timbral? you can load it up as many times as you like, and if you really want you can control them from the same midi channel so you have a multi-timbral synth of sorts.

am i missing something?

Well you can of course load multiple instances, but how about layersounds (lets say 4 different sylenth1) with one mouseclick? How about keyboardsplits? How about a live mode like in omnisphere?

There are more and more synths having that ability to load layersounds, f.e. waldorf largo, albino 3 etc.

For me it would be great to quickly step through layersounds and then decide to route the different layers to different midi-channels or leave it at one channel.

I answered the question that chas48155 had, i am not demanding. Sylenth1 is the best sounding plugin i know, i owned an access virus xl and sold it because of sylenth1.

Massive and ACE are both CPU hogs, they sound good but Sylenth sounds better IMO and has way less CPU usage

Yeah i think Josh is right. To throw in another very good sounding synth with low cpu usage i would suggest surge, as it is also subtractive (/hybrid).

Surge might sound good and all..but has one of the most ugly GUI on the whole market i think...so no option for me...

You've forgot Audjoo's Helix.
Together with Zebra 2.5 are the ones that I can set up without having Sylenth1 neutralize them.
Seriously, I am having challenges sometime because Syilenth1 is so Clean and Clear it jumps at you very easily.

i too have just bought sylenth 1,and im very happy with it!
i needded a goto synth,and a synth i could program,i initially
bought predator wich is nice but i needed something more versatile!
anyway im happy with the product.
although the skins ive seen would be cool,not neccesary,but cool.
