I installed Zebra 2.5 only to find that the text does not show up on the new skin... rendering the plugin almost useless. Ughh! Has anybody encountered this problem?
The playability and sounds are fantastic as long as you use the Receptor's patches.

Urs has fixed this problem for us already. All you need to do is get the font called "l_10646.ttf" and place it in your Windows\Fonts Directory and you are all set to go. Thanks Urs. Zebra 2.5 is killer!

This fix (l_10646.ttf font) is for Receptor 2, but it should be applicable to Receptor 1 as well.nl3 wrote:Are talking about Receptor 1 or 2 ?PhilMuller wrote:Urs has fixed this problem for us already. The failure showing of the presets is in ACE-Demo existent, too. The solving is for both synths the same: You should copy the font |_10646.ttf in the \Windows\Font folder of receptor. This tip is full functionally on a Receptor 1 with OS 1.7, too.

Thanks, i solved it since from many days ago, but Zebra 2.5 crashes my Recepètor 1 Rev B any time i load a Zebra preset programmed to work in 2.5 version, meanwhile those for Zebra 2.3 are properly working.telekomiker wrote:The failure showing of the presets is in ACE-Demo existent, too. It seems to be due to SSE2 non compatibility for my Receptor's Athlon 2500+ cpu.
Are your R with the same cpu?
Ace doesn't work and crashes when i play a note (the same crash for Zebra 2.5 presets)
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm trying to install my copy of Zebra 2.5 on Receptor I (rev. C) running system 1.7.20080616.
I followed the instructions Urs gave in the 'pre-installed' version that can be downloaded from his site, but when I go ahead with the install in Receptor all files get moved to the 'Failed' folder.
Has anyone else had any luck in installing Zebra 2.5 on their Receptor? Any tips?
Thanks

I have installed Zebra 2.5 on R1 rev.C. It was without problems (except the font:-)

So, you just dragged the u-he folder to the 'Drop Installers Here' folder and it worked?
Could you have a look in you Receptor drive, in /Program Files/VST Plugins/Unsupported Plugins/u-he/
and tell me what you see?
I managed to get the four .dll files there, as well as the Zebra2.data folder. Now Zebralette and Zrev work fine, not not Zebra nor Zebrify.
I can instantiate all four, but when I try opening Zebra or Zebrify I get a 'PNG Loading - Problem reading the file' error message and Receptor hangs.

OK, here's the solution:
DO NOT INSTALL ZEBRA 2.5 (or any other unsupported plugin) FROM OSX!!!
OSX has this nasty habit of adding a zillion files starting with the '.' character, confusing the hell out of Receptor.
In the end using a PC (well, my MBP in Boot Camp mode), I went through the whole C/Program Files/VST Plugins/Unsupported/u-he directory and all of its sub-folders, and manually deleted every single 'grey file' starting with '.' (example: .-DS Store)
Having done that, Zebra 2.5 now works flawlessly. Ha.
