I think we're all used to that dialog box by now.Galbanum wrote:

I can see how you'd want to circumvent support q&a like "why is my screen black?" - "did you turn it on?", though.

I'd be happy to take it without the Installer. Unzip and place in my VST Folder if that's possible.

yes, I appreciate the enthusiasm. But we are running a company and we have a large user base now, and some of it is not quite as sophisticated as you guys here. So we like to do things thoroughly now....
anyway, we have fixed it, so you will definitely get an email later today.

If it's any help - Most installers come up with this on my system. I just always click that it's installed OK.

I've encountered this in roughly a third of the installers I've used for Windows 7 64-bit. I usually follow the re-install directions, but occasionally I haven't and I haven't noticed any runtime issues either way. I think it's a premissions issue; it might not happen if the installer is installed by right-clicking on it and selecting "Run as administrator".Galbanum wrote:(if you must know, our installer application is causing an error dialog to pop up in Win7. So we are trying find a way to make Win7 happy so that users are not confused by this.

Oh well .. the 12th April has come and gone and still nothing.
To say I'm disappointed with the perpetually extended release date
would be an understatement.

This is turning into a saga of broken promises.
Is there some problem you're not telling us about?
I think they have another 9 years or so until they go Duke Nukem....
