Hi Jo,
I know wery well it is not your business to bug down third party VSTs and you are right.
I am just reporting here, in case you know about it and you know what's wrong with it, that when I load Rhino in M3 and I adjust the Tempo the meter goes up and into Overload even if I am doing it with another plug in.
As long that Rhino it's loaded I have this problem, Rack or MPA w/o connection.
Rhino is not just any plug in but a good one at least maybe to draw your attention.
Anyway, anyone encountered this problem before?

I know the effect, that when adding a vst to a rack, the cpu load increases,
so there must be some idle action by some vsts, but I haven't analyzed in detail. E.g. independence free is such an cpu consuming vst.

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!

Yep! I need to email Big Tick.mutools wrote:I assume such VST shows the same behaviour in other hosts, right?
Sorry for not having checked before posting here but I was on a different PC.
Thank you.

Don't know about Rhino, never used it, but Independence Free have this behavior only if GUI is visible. It's not the only plugin that have this effect. When I have it open even my mouse slows down but when is minimized everything goes normal.Eggu wrote:I know the effect, that when adding a vst to a rack, the cpu load increases,

And, Jo, this happen also in FL, so from this point of view it's a problem with plugin or video card.

Yes this is true with several VST but with Rhino the CPU meter if fine UNLESS I go and change the Tempo. The meter moves together with the mouse while dragging the tempo up or down. This one is new. And yes it does it on XT etc.
I was testing Rhino, so not a problem for me so far.
