Anyone else get this error when loading GenesisCM v1.02 in Cubase 5.5??
"Can't load Module. SL Slider linker"
(have to click OK several times before it goes away, then brings up another error...
"Can't load Module. Unkargherth SE Reverb"
"Can't load Module. Synthedit BPM Clock V2"
..which also have to click OK several times. Then it finally opens.
Anyone else get this error? This is the latest version of GenesisCM, and using the latest Cubase 5.5 updates...
HELP! GenesisCM is a great plugin (when it works flawlessly)

The new Cubase has a issue with Synthedit plugins. Jeff & the Cubase team were notified months ago, but haven't heard a peep about it. I do think it's an issue with the SL Sliderlinker module, as that's an OLD module & I can't even get it to load in the new SE.
Now that Oz is 'famous', does he have time to update this?

I bloody hope so... even though Genesis is freeware, i will be pretty annoyed if this does not get fixed..osiris wrote:The new Cubase has a issue with Synthedit plugins. This issue should be high priority - considering that Genesis is STILL being given away on the CM Mag disc... everyone who try's to load it up in Cubase 5 will also be pretty annoyed i'd imagine!

I don't understand either. I suspect Steinberg is being a little selfish wanting everyone to upgrade to its VST3 tech.
I'm also pretty sure they don't expect that if your spending $500.00 on a DAW, that you'll be using free giveaway Synthedit synths.
My paranoia maybe...

After spending that sort of money on a DAW some of us HAVE to use freeware! I enjoy spending money on my favourite hobby but atm i'm totally broke and really appreciate CM freebies and other freewareosiris wrote:I'm also pretty sure they don't expect that if your spending $500.00 on a DAW, that you'll be using free giveaway Synthedit synths.

I am kinda thinking the other way.. i think VSTi developers should keep up with the changes in mainstream DAW's
I'm sure Steinberg wouldn't of purposely caused this 'conflict' just for the sake of it.

If Blu-Rays and Blu-Ray players were the same price as current DVDs and DVD players then absolutely...osiris wrote:So if they stopped making DVD's would you buy a Blu-Ray player.....
