Probably should promote these a bit more since ACE soundsets are "in" at the moment - these are not new (in fact they were the first banks for ACE) but I didn't really have time before to create some "demo" tracks for them - bear in mind they were made for my own needs, not to sell, so they are probably a bit more rough and ready than some of the commercial sets - they come "as is":

100 - my first 100 presets - sorted into categories, something for everyone but as I mostly like weird sounds and modular mayhem there are a lot that are hard to categorise but there are also some stonking basses and leads

Heavy Industry - 50 presets - mainly noisy, gritty, mechanical, dark, alien, modular madness, ambient/industrial type sounds

Odds and Sods - 50 presets - this set is mostly more "playable" sounds, some acoustic/physical modelled and keys etc

so I'm starting some patch demos. I don't intend to just run through the presets one-by-one - that would be boring for me - instead I'll post some pieces of music made with some of the presets. First up, the patch is "Space Birds" from the "Heavy Industry" bank - this is an interesting modular mayhem type patch as you can use the modwheel to introduce a lot of variation into the analog birdsong-like sounds to create something like I'd imagine a dawn chorus might sound like on another planet:

I don't charge for these but I do have a Paypal link for donations if anyone really wants to do so (PM me)

Next up, "Metallophone" from ACE "Heavy Industry".

This is a harsh clangy metallic sounding patch but like several of my patches makes good use of aftertouch to add a twist - you can take the sound in a different direction using aftertouch with single notes or polyphonically and this piece is pretty much based on playing around with that

Last one for this evening. This is more of a chilled sound from the first "100" ACE bank (some of which are also in the factory library in slightly modified form) called "DX Tones". ACE can create some really pure DX-like keys - with this I wanted something that was pure and clean but it also has a warm fuzzy electro feel to it:

Great demos! Especially the DX Tones patch.

Try right clicking on the picture and choose "open in new tab/window". That worked for me.
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

Thanks - that means a lot

They should just stream from clicking on them - however if you want to hear the better quality mp3 it's best to download it rather than stream from the site

Some more from "ACE Heavy Industry". I thought a lot of the sounds in this bank sounded like huge alien machines (such as from Forbidden Planet) - I've grouped several of those together for this set of short demos:

Heavy Industry

Krell Radiation

Standing Wave

MachineCore

Production Line

Sample Static

Polyrhythm

"Water Violin" from "Odds and sods"

"Delicacy" is a subtle, slightly phased, emotive pad from the "100" bank:

Thanx for these sounds amused. And thanx for the good demos, too. Very creative and personal.
