Having really loved the echoplex and other older tape echos that i got to use and repair for years i wanted to see if there was any comparable plug ins out there!
The only one i found remotely close was the tell ray.
Maybe some of you know of something better? I would love to hear about them!

Anyway i was inspired to create a plugin that has more of that ethereal sound found in tape echos! I had Analyzed with scopes and meters and every possible chart what was the idiosyncratic behavior of a tape echo that caused its unique sound.
My result was what i call the Echolux
Its a small and inexpensive plugin VST and AU that i think represents more the "feel" of a tape echo then most of the software effects that cost a lot more!

do you really think that the number 583 (nearly 600) is correct ?
The marketing just begun with this offer these days and with ads in magazines the same red badge with the same number (583) can be recognized in their ads nor the jpg of the badge is programmed to be dynamically updated everytime someone purchased the product.
Don't get trapped into advertising tricks, but buy the product if you like it, there is a free version available with 1 or 2 GB of content.
Negative with the 70GB content of the free version and the full product is, that not everyone likes the proprietary format of the samples, i.e. you cannot use the content in other Hosts! only through Ind.Pro which can act as a plug-in and a host (which is cool), but restricted. There is no sample-converter i know of to be able to convert this format to WAV or something else more regular than this "ytif" format...do you ?

This is The Steinberg Waldorf Edition for 20 GBP. I know nothing about this vendor, but I've got the Waldorf Edition, and Attack is still a rockin' drum synth.

EDIT: Interesting -- It showed as in stock, and let me put it in the cart. I went back a minute ago to look at some other stuff and it showed as 'Call to Check Availability'. I took it out of my cart, and it once more showed in stock. I'm surmising that they've only got one copy in inventory.

Thomann is great, I've used them a few times. But in this case I think hybrid3 might be able to buy it in any Swedish music store that is using Fitzpatrick as distributor for only 2 Euro more. Worth checking out before at least, visiting music stores is fun.
